Part 2: A Deal is A Deal

For the next week I have to drive Katie around to wherever she wants to go and today is day 1. This gives me time to tell her how I really feel about her. Hopefully Katie doesn't know and it can become a surprise for her. I have a old rusted truck that looks like it's 50 years old but hey it holds up pretty well. After 1 hour of getting ready I go and pick up Katie for the first day back to school because she can't drive and her twin brother won't take her anywhere unless the mall or to get food.

20 minutes later I pull up in Katie and Sam's driveway and get out of my truck to go to the front door. I ring the doorbell and not soon after that Sam opens the door.

"Hey Sam. I'm here for Katie." I say in a happy tone but yet a little frightened because Sam is a bad boy at our school.

"Hey come on in. How's it going?" Sam says in a nicer tone than usual.

"Good. I mean like idk. I guess good." I say stuttering every word that comes out of my mouth.

"Cool. Well Katie should be done in 10 or 15 minutes." he told me as I took a seat at the counter. 15 minutes later Katie walks in and she is wearing a pink faded high-waisted skirt with a white crop-top and a pair of flowery sandals. Also some necklaces. (Pick on side) She looks so pretty in that outfit.

"Hey Katie" Sam says as he walks over kisses her on her temple and walks over to the door to walk outside for school.

"Bye Sam, nice to see you again." I say as I turn to Katie and smile.

"Hey Cam. Ready to go?" She asks me in sort of a flirty way.

"I guess. Where do you want to go after school since I have to drive you anywere for a week?" I ask her as we get into my truck and pull away.

"The mall. I need some new clothes to wear for the school year." Katie says as we stop at a red traffic light.

"Ok then." I say as the light turns from red to green.

"Turn it up! This is my fav song." She says in a loud voice. The song is Cheerleader by OMI.

She walks like a model

She grants my wishes

The songs ends in another verse or two and we pull into the school parking lot. I get out and wait for Katie to come by my side. We have all but gym together. The school day goes by in a blur because the first day back is always a blur. So after school I find Katie and we head off to the mall.

"Let's go into Forever 21." She says all excited as we pull up.

"Lead the way oh sweet queen." I say as she takes my hand and pulls me into the first store.

"This is really cute!" Katie says with a high pitch voice. "I'm going to go try it on." 3 minutes later she comes out and she is wearing a crop top with a pair of high waisted skinny jeans that fit her just perfectly. "Do you like?" She asks as I stare at her in awe. After a moment of silence I spoke.

"Ya. It looks really good on you Kat. You should get it." I say as I get up off a comfy chair.

"Ok I will then." Katie says and she gets a couple of more really cute outfits and she pays for them and we went to the food court. Katie got a pretzel and slushie that I payed for and I got a piece of pizza. We then get back in the truck and head to my house like we use to always do.
