The Ball

*May's POV*
Later while we watched the stars Solidad and Harley went inside the ship to get some sleep. It was Midnight Drew and I we're still looking at the stars then I noticed Drew was starting to yawn. I smiled at him and said "Hey Drew let's go inside and sleep. Its been a long day." He smiled "Sure your right." We took each other's hand and we walked inside many people we're in there cabins resting or sleeping. So only a few people we're in the lobby of the ship roaming around and exploring.
We showed our ship tickets to a sailor nearby and he lead us towards the uppers decks of the ship and he stopped by 2 cabins next to each other.

He smiled at us "Here are your cabins. Enjoy your rest." He walked off and I kissed Drew's cheek. "Get a goodnight's rest. Sweet Dreams." He smiled and kissed my cheek "Goodnight May. I love you sweet dreams." I felt myself blush and we both walked into our separate cabin and I collapsed on the bed and whispered to myself "Why? Brendan and Brianna? I just don't understand." I felt myself tear up and I wiped my tears and I sighed and thought 'No May stop it. Its been a long day. But the truth hurts so much why I can't believe that happened all today...' I closed my eyes and whispered "Time to sleep." I felt my body overcome with exhaustion and I feel asleep.

The next morning...

I woke up feeling refreshed and I smiled "That was a good nights rest." I got up and went out of the cabin when I was almost at the ship deck I felt a hand over my mouth and I kicked whoever covered my mouth and they out a quiet yell. I turned to look at the person and tackled the person on the floor. I looked in shock "Harley?!" He chuckled quietly "May. No need to attck me like that. By the way you have a hard foot ow..." I growled quietly "Why did you cover my mouth you baka?!" He sighed "I wanted to do something but I need your help." I looked at him confused "My help?" He got up and whispered "May i'm going to do something special but I need you to do something." I smiled "Alright what do I do?" He smiled "Good. Just distract Solidad for the day take her swimming or something. At 7 p.m. sharp bring her to the main lobby."

I punched his shoulder lightly "You got it Harley. I'll go find her now!" He laughed and pretended to be hurt "Ow. Anyways I'll see you later. Make sure both you and her wear something nice and formal for the lobby at 7." I felt confused but smiled "Alright. Whatever you say. See ya at 7!" I ran off from him trying to find Solidad. I finally found her on the deck and I yelled "Solidad!" She looked at me and smiled "hey May what's up?" I took her hand "Let's go shopping! There are a lot of places on the ship were we can shop!" She got a huge smile on her face "Let's go! Sounds like a blast!" We both ran towards the nearest shop and we gasped as we walked inside.

There were ballroom dresses everywhere! We talked to the clerk of the store about the dresses "Whats with so many ballroom dresses?" The clerk smiled "There's to be a ball tonight so we're having a sale and all the dresses are 50% off!" Both Solidad and I squealed in delight. "We must go! We must get a dress!" We both smiled. I looked at the time it was 5 on the dot. I thought 'we have two hours to get a dress and get ready. We can do it!' Solidad and I both went towards the dresses trying to pick the perfect one for the Ball...

*Drew's POV*
I was walking around the ship when I felt a hand on my shoulder and I turned around and seen Harley he looked nervous "Hey Harley you okay man?" He gulped "There's a ball tonight and I was walking by the store and seen May and Solidad looking for dresses for the ball and there are posters all over the ship. We have to go. I'm doing something special but before that I need you to come with me to get a tuxedo and you need to get one."

I gulped nervously "A ball? I'm a horrid dancer i'll embarrass myself in front of May, but if she's getting a dress I can't let her down. Alright Harley let's go find a shop for tuxedos." He sighed in relief and we both left towards the shops. We walked in and the lady greeted us kindly "Hello. You must be here to get tuxedos for the ball right?" We both nodded and she continued "Alright follow me. You sir with the purple hair." Harley gulped "Yes ma'am?" She gave him a Black tuxedo with a white shirt and a teal vest and teal tie. She smiled "That will work perfectly."

Next she turned to me and she smiled "Green emerald hair. I like it. Here I have the perfect tuxedo young man." She went towards the back and came back out and handed me a White tuxedo with a red vest and red tie. I looked at them in shock and smiled "Thank you so Much. How much do we owe you?" She laughed "It's a ball you boys are so sweet its on the house." I almost didn't breathe "Seriously?" She smiled "Yes as you young people say 'Yes Dude'." All of us laughed. "Thank you so much!" Harley and I said at the same time. She looked at her watch and gasped "Its already 6:15 get going!" We both smiled and said "Thank you once again have an amazing day!"

We both ran to our cabins and got ready. Soon before we knew it, it was 7 on the dot. I looked in the mirror and saw myself in my reflection and if I say so myself I cleaned up really well. I grabbed a rose from a vase of roses on my table and knocked on May's door hoping she was ready. When I saw her in a gorgeous red ballgown with a small slit on the side and her chocolate color hair in loose curls and around her neck was the rose necklace I gave her for her birthday and on her ears we're the earing. I felt my nose runny and I seen my nose was bleeding I looked away blushing. "Drew are you okay?" May asked she gave me a small paper towel and I smiled at her "Im fine you just look so breathtaking." May's face got as red as her dress "Thank you, you look great yourself."

I smiled "Thank you and here for you." I gave her the rose and she smiled "Thank you it's beautiful." I bowed like a gentleman and said "Shall we head to the lobby?" She giggled "Drew you sound so formal. Of course sir I would be delighted to." She smiled and I held her hand and I led her towards the lobby and gasped everything looks so different and beautiful. All around the room we're beautiful girls and I smiled and thought 'They look beautiful but not as beautiful as my May."

We spotted Harley and Solidad. Solidad had a beautiful teal dress exactly like May's but just a different color and has a longer slit, her hair had loose pink curls. We went up to them and they both smiled and said "You both look amazing." May and I smiled "You guys look great too." Two hours later May and I were dancing when we saw Harley grab a microphone and ask "May I have your attention." Everyone in the room looked at him and he gulped nervously but continued "I've been wanting to do this for a long time." He looked at Solidad and said "Your an amazing girl who's beautiful and so kind even when we met I was an asshole. I love you Solidad and I know I want to be with you for the rest of my life."

Harley got on one knee and pulled out a small box and everyone in the room gasped and he said "Solidad please do me the honor and make me the happiest man alive as I will make you the happiest woman alive. Solidad will you marry me?" Both May and I looked at Solidad she looked like she was about to cry but she attacked him with a hug and said "Yes Harley! Yes!" All around us all the people exploded into applause. We clapped and Harley slipped the ring on Solidad's finger and we went up to them and I patted Harley on the back and smiled "Good job. She's a keeper." He smiled "Thank you Drew." May pulled Solidad into a hug and she whispered "Congratulations. Drew and I wish you the best." She smiled "Thank you so much."

After that May and I went on the dance floor and danced while Harley danced with Solidad. I looked at May and kissed her lips gently and whispered "I love you May." She blushed "I love you too Drew." After that we continued to dance as I held May close and we both smiled. For the time being everything was perfect....
