Pokemon May and Drew Fanfiction

Drew proposes!

*Ash's POV*
I saw May caught the flowers and heard Drew whisper "May..." I looked in shocked but patted Drew on the back and said "Well I guess your next." Drew blushed a bit and I saw him reach into his pocket and then he looked at me and said "You know what Ash? I think your right...." Even I knew something was up I took Drew by the arm and led him to the men's bathroom and said "Spill it, you mean to propose to May don't you?" His face grew warm and I smiled "I knew it!" He covered my mouth "Shh! You want to let the whole world know? Fine you got me i'm going to propose but i want it to be romantic but not cheesy."

He pulled his hand away and I smiled "Alright let's see, May is a huge fan of roses that's your doing Hayden. When she went back to Hoenn..." I went quiet for a bit and Drew said "What is it?" I gave a sad look and said "She would go out into a garden and just stare at flowers but mostly she would stare at the roses and sob. She missed you and she loved you but she thought she would never see you again, her biggest regret was not telling you how she felt. May would give excuses to go out to the garden and after 5 or 6 times I followed her and saw her sobbing. I remember it only because the image of May sobbing her eyes out was permanently stayed in my mind and it hurt. I remember it like it was yesterday..."

*Flashback 6 years earlier*
I got closer to the garden and saw May crying. I could hear her say "It's all my fault! I'm such an idiot I should've told him!" I went up to her and put my hand on her shoulder and pulled her close and whispered "May, is that what you do you out in the garden?" She looked at me in shock and nodded and hugged me back tightly and sobbed harder and she whispered "I should've told him how I felt." I looked at her and wiped her tears "Told who what?" She sobbed quietly and whispered "Drew, I should've told him how I felt." I felt a small pain in my chest and I was tempted to tell her how I felt about her but I couldn't. I wipped her tears and said "May it's alright, i'm sure your going to see him again."

She gave me a sad smile "Do you really think so Ash?" I smiled "I do think so May, now come on lets head inside your house your mom and dad and Max are worried that you come to the garden too often." I paused for a second and looked at her "You come out here to cry, but you also come out here to look at the roses right? Because they remind you of Drew?" She nodded slowly and I sighed and thought to myself 'I can't tell her I like her, but I want to see her happy.' I smiled at her and wipped her tears "Let's go inside okay?" She smiled back and whispered "okay."

*End of Flashback*

I sighed but smiled "How do you plan to propose?" He sighed "I'm not very sure yet, I was thinking of taking her to a dinner in a nice place then have a night stroll in a garden and then propose under a gazebo." I smiled "I think thats perfect!" I dragged him out of the bathroom and we sat at the table and I said to him quietly "This conversation never happened." He nodded "Agreed." Serena and May came to sit right after we finished talking 'talk about perfect timing' I thought to myself. May seemed to be a bit shy because she caught the flowers and she was especially shy around Drew. I smiled at her "So your guess right?" May laughed nervously "U-Um I guess? To be honest I haven't thought about getting married yet, I would like to get married but i'm not sure when."

Serena smiled and said "I understand that, after all your only 19 so it's perfectly understandable." May smiled "Yeah i'm still young so I don't know if I want to get married yet." I quickly looked over at Drew he looked liked someone smacked him across the face but he manage to give a smile. I thought 'Oh no! He's going to get discouraged if they keep talking like that!' "Serena" I said she smiled at me "Yes?" I smiled and said "Let's go dance a bit." Drew looked around and chuckled "I guess with all the excitement we didn't notice people starts dancing." We all smiled and Serena said "Okay lets go Ash." She took my hand and led me on the dance floor.

*Drew's POV*
When I heard that May didn't want to get married yet I felt like I wasn't even sure I wanted to propose. I looked at May and smiled and thought to myself 'I want to be with her for the rest of my life, I guess I have to propose soon who knows if someone else would try and take her from me. She means everything to me.' May laughed and said "Earth to Drew." I shook my head and said "Uh Yeah?" She smiled and took my hand and said "There's a garden around wanna go see it?" I smiled and did a small hairflip "Ah the garden, Roses right? You want one? They remind you of how much you love me so much?" I gave her a teasing smile and her face got a bit red "I.. Shut up Hayden!" I laughed and took her hand "I was kidding, come on lets go see the garden."

May gave my hand a light squeeze and led me out of the Anistar city gym and we walked around and finally found a sign that said "Garden is to the right of the city right before you leave the city." We both looked at each other and nodded and headed towards the right end of the city and sure enough there was a HUGE garden with roses, forget-me-nots, daisys, sunflowers, lily's, orchids, baby's breath, calla, and even cherry blossom trees. And in the center the was a giant water fountain that sparkled in the moonlight (A/N: Yes it is nighttime right about 9 p.m.) I gulped and May smiled and said "it's beautiful." I looked at her and whispered "But not as beautiful as you." I didn't think she heard me and I was hoping she didn't but she looked at me and blushed and whispered "Thank you."

I felt myself blush a bit and I smiled "No problem." I took her hand and led her to the center of the garden by the fountain and said "May you mean everything to me and I love you." She teared up a bit and smiled and said "I love you too and you mean everything to me Drew." I gently wiped the tears in her eyes and smiled. I slowly leaned in and kissed her lips gently and she jumped a little in surprise but kissed back gently. I pulled away and blushed lightly while she was blushing a bit too.

I thought to myself 'I didn't plan to do this but this is a perfect time and..' My thoughts trailed off as May said "Hey Drew are you alright?" She looked at me with some concern and I said "Yes i'm fine." I thought to myself again 'Well now's a best of time as any.' I slowly got to one knee and May looked a bit confused. I pulled out a small box and opened it and said "May Maple you make me so happy I want you to be with you for the rest of my life. Will you do me the honor and become my wife?" I looked at her and her reaction was pure shock she had tears in her eyes and I wiped them slowly "Don't cry May, what do you say? Will you marry me..?" She smiled and said "Yes Drew. Of course yes!" She embraced me into a tight hug and I hugged her back as tightly. I pulled away slowly and I pulled the ring from the box and put it on her finger and she whispered "I love you Drew." I smiled and teared up a bit myself "I love you too May."

I took her hand and said "I know we don't have music but I owe you a dance don't you think?" She smiled and laughed "You do owe me one for not dancing in the reception." I smiled "Will you dance with me May?" She smiled "Of course Drew." I took her hands and pulled her close to me and we started dancing as the moon gave a silver glow.

*Third person POV*
If you happened to be passing by the garden and if you looked closely you could see two figures in the moonlight dancing. One is a beautiful brunette with a red dress while the other was a handsome emerald hair fellow wearing a suit. If you got closer you could even see them hand in hand if you have amazing vision you could see a small tiny box on the fountain and on the girl's finger was a beautiful ring. Both have an expression of pure happiness and love. Once you started to walk away you could hear the gurrle of the fountain, but you could never forget the two figures dancing in the moonlight....
