It was night time, and Kirito told me to stay with him at his inn, which I had to accept. I was getting used to sleeping with him anyway. Right now, he was sitting at his desk, and I was sitting at the nearest spot next to him in the bed. We were both wearing jackets, since it was near Christmas. He was holding some sort of crystal we found in his hand, and were about to see what it is. Once he activated, our eyes immediately widened in shock and saddness with a hint of happiness. Just very slightly happiness. What we heard one he activated the crystal was a voice i've been desperate to hear again.

"Hello, Kirito, Emiko. By the time you're reading this, I'm probably... Erm... Dead..." Sachi started. I slowly stood up, moving behind Kirito.

"I know you two are probably blaming yourselves for it, but please don't. It's not your fault. Please, don't blame yourselves for something that isn't your fault." Sachi said. She started talking about some stuff and chuckled about something she said to lighten the mood (it's been a while since I watched this part, so bear with me). "Since it's probably near Christmas, I'm going to sing you a Christmas song." With that, Sachi started humming the lyrics of Red Nosed Reindeer.

I gripped Kirito's shoulders from behind, and burried my face in the crook of his neck. He took his right hand and placed it on top of my left hand, without turning back. His eyes were covered by his hair, and I could tell he was crying silently, as well as I. We stayed like this while listening to Sachi's voice, until she suddenly stopped.

"Please don't blame yourselves." Sachi said, knowing that we might be crying right now. She sounded as if she were talking to us right now though. "Arigatou. Sayonara (English translation: Thank you. Goodbye)." That's where it hit me. Those two words... Were her last words that I couldn't even hear. I sobbed loud, shaking intently, guilt rising in my stomach.

Fire kingdom... Dispair... Guilt... Sorrow.... Pain..... Loss... Darkness

Those were want overwhelmed me. I lost someone important to me, yet again.

I let go of Kirito and walked backwards, mouth slightly open, and my eyes lifeless. Kirito stopped sniffing and turned around, probably shocked of how I stopped shaking, and just let go of him with no emotion. His eyes widen when he saw my use to be sparkly, living eyes, to dull lifeless, limp eyes. It looked as if I were dead. Which I already was inside.

"It's all my fault... Her death. I even promised her she would live. How can she rest peacefully? I'm the reason she died, so I must kill myself so she can have revenge, so she can rest peacefully!!!!!" I yelled, slowly at first, then quickens at the last sentence. I said that with no trace of emotion in it. Kirito stares at me with saddness and shock, staring into my dead eyes. That's when he rushes to me and pulls me into a hug. A warm, warm hug. My dead eyes widen as they slowly faded into the light again

"Snap out of it, Emiko!" Kirito yelled, tears at the corners of his eyes as he hugs me tighter "this isn't you! Snap out of it!"

My eyes returned to their sparkly, turquoise eyes. This time, there were more sparkles shining in my eyes, due to the tears forming. Kirito clenched my shirt as his grip got tighter, and he got more shakier. He looked at me dead in the eyes. His dark, charcoal eyes bore into my sparkling turquoise ones. His face was so close to mine that our foreheads almost touched. I could feel his fastening breath against my lips. Just one slight push, and we'd be kissing.

"..... It's not your fault." Kirito whispered, voice shaking. "None of it was your fault, so don't you dare die on me... I was a beta tester, so I knew... I knew what w-as going to happen. I knew it was a trap..." Kirito clenched my shirt tighter as his embraced tightened, causing his forehead to lean against mine. I instantly wrap my arms around his tense body, returning the tight embrace as he continued, "i knew it was a trap when they opened the chest... I knew everything. But in the end I..." Kirito couldn't continue. His fingers turned white due to gripping on my shirt so tight. His shaking got even worse, and his voice kept cracking and shaking. He burried his head on my shoulder, and when he did, my shoulder immediately began to get soaked, slowly.
