Chapter 6. Parolyzed Christmas Dance Part 1

A few weeks after that.... Incident, I decided I would try to live in the present. So, it was a day before Christmas Eve, and apparently there was a dance tomorrow. I decided I would go alone, by myself and just enjoy myself, and try to forget about the past. I was choosing what to wear tomorrow, which was hard. I was about to put a dress away until I heard a knock at the door (Emiko is back at her and Miki's inn). I walked towards the door with only a long lavender shirt that went above mid thigh. Wayyy above. My hair was a mess due to bed head... I opened the door and froze.

Kirito's POV

I knocked on Emiko's door at her and Miki's inn, wearing a plain black shirt and black pants. I was slightly sweating due to being nervous. Tomorrow was the Christmas dance and I was planning on going with Emiko. I wanted to have her get some fun and lay back a bit since the incident. Of course I'm sad about that too, but, at least we'd be helping each other heal. But, Emiko's the one who heals me more than I help her. Now, I plan on changing that. I want to help her, especially since she just saw someone important to her die..... Again.... Right in front of her.

When Emiko opened the door, my jaw dropped. Emiko stood there in front of me, wearing a lavender shirt that went way above her mid thigh, just long enough to hide her... Nevermind. Her blonde hair was messed up cutely. Just looking at her like that almost gave me a nosebleed, and the fact she was blushing didn't help at all. She looked so... Adorable.

"H-hey, Emiko..." I blushed.

"H-hi... Kirito-kun.." Emiko stuttered softly. Kirito'kun'?!? God, that's so adorable. I struggled not to nosebleed.

"U-um.. There's this dance tomorrow, and I was wondering if...." I stuttered. Emiko pouted and tilted her head slightly. She's too adorable!

".... You were wondering if I wanted to go with you?" Emiko said. I jumped, blushing furiously. I nodded slightly. Emiko giggled and patted my head. "Of course I'll go with you!"

When she said that, I snapped my head up, eyes sparkling in happiness and excitement. She accepted... She really said yes! Emiko smiled cutely and gave me a thumbs up, which was adorable. Everything about her was adorable.

"G-great! I'll pick you up at five then?" I smile widely, obviously happy and relieved. She smiled wider and nodded. I gave her a closed eye smile before saying goodbye.

I walked away from her inn, smiling like an idiot. She said yes.... Im so happy. I don't know why, but whenever I'm with her, I'd have these... Happy tingling feelings in my stomach. I somehow... Like the feeling. I like the feeling of being with or around Emiko. I stopped dead in my tracks when a thought randomly popped into my head.

Emiko's POV

I closed the door after Kirito left and got back to what I was doing. Kirito asked me to the dance... He ASKED me.. Wait, but, why me? Why would he ask me? Is it because he knows me better? He could'ce asked anyone in SAO, yet he chose me. Does he have a trick up his sleeve or something? Maybe he likes me?

I continued with the thoughts as I looked through my dresses.

Time skip to Christmas Eve - Time: 3:47 PM

After I ate breakfast, which were 3 pancakes shaped as hearts with butter and syrup, oatmeal cookies, and chocolate milk, I decided to max my cooking skills, since I loved cooking in real life. It was expencive, but I was able to maximize it. After maximizing my cooking skills, I went upstairs to the large bathroom.

Last night, me and Miki decided to upgrade our inn. Now, our inn was like a gigantic mansion. Our inn was luxurious yet cozy and the same time. We now have seperate rooms, decorated uniquely by ourselves. It also means that I won't have to sleep with Kirito, which I felt somewhat sad about for some reason. I guess I just miss his warm body against mine while we sleep. I unequipped my clothes and stepped into the big shower. The water ran down my body smoothly.
