~ Chapter 5 ~

            "I just can't believe how charming he was! He was so funny and kind. My face hurt from how much I was smiling!" Mona was in the middle of gushing to me about how amazing Richard was after meeting him yesterday. It was quite amusing to see her reaction honestly. "Oh my gosh and his eyes! Did you see his eyes?! They'd make even Derek melt!"

            "Who's Derek?" My facial expressions didn't even begin to show how confused I was in that moment.

            "You know; Derek Hale from Teen Wolf?"

            "Oh, right! Yeah, I'm following now. Continue gushing." I smiled to her.

            "I'm not gushing! I'm just...recounting." It sounded more like a question than a statement when she said it.

            "That's what everyone says." I chuckled as my voice travelled throughout my dressing room.

            "So what's your love life like? You and Finn seem pretty cosy." She wiggled her eyebrows at my and winked as she spoke to me from across the room.

            I picked up a pillow and threw it at her face before responding, "we are not! We're just friends."

            "Sure sure! I'm pretty sure that that's not what he thinks..." She dragged her words out before continuing, "do you like him?"

            I thought for a moment. Do I? "I don't know. I mean he's a great guy and he never fails to make me laugh; but –" I trailed off and his face floated into my mind.

            "But what?" Her tone was sincere.

            "You know when you meet someone, and he's charming and kind and really attractive; and you're sitting their thinking about him and you're just like 'wow he's amazing'?" She smiles at me and nods. "I met that guy on my first day here, but he doesn't really seem to feel the same way. I mean if he does, he's not making it obvious. But then there's Finn. He's funny, carefree, charming and cheeky and I just –" I paused for a moment to think of the right word, "I feel happy around him. Like a goofy happy that becomes addictive; but at the same time, the other guy doesn't leave my mind. Sometimes when I'm with Finn and he does something cheesy I wonder if the other guy would ever be that way with me." I look down into my lap and concentrate on my hands. It's funny how voicing your opinion makes you realise how you feel.

             "So who's the 'other guy'?"

             "Your boyfriends best friend..." I chuckled and looked over to her.

             "You like Kit?" She raised her eyebrows and smiled and all I could do was nod. "Okay, ditch Finn; you and Kit would be WAY cuter together!" She exclaimed. I couldn't stop the loud laughter escape my mouth. Mona was hilarious sometimes!

             "I'll see what I can do for you." I chuckled.

             "Oh, it'll happen! There's no if's or but's." Her tone was dead serious; another thing that caused me to laugh.

                        * * *

             "Kit you don't need to worry about it! She seems like a great girl and if she doesn't like you then she's obviously crazy." Richard's voice was sincere and intense. "I can't really tell you if she's worth fighting Finn for or not; that's something you have to figure out for yourself. But; if Finn wasn't in the picture, I would definitely tell you to go for it." He winked at me and smiled while patting me on the back.
