Scarlet...
That was all he could see.
Kurapika had collected all the eyes of the Kuruta clan in any possible way he had.
He spent .He stole. He tricked. He negotiated. He killed....
At first, the Kuruta boy had thought that killing a few people for his brethren was okay so that he could get revenge. But now, that his mission is completed, the guilt of killing innocent people had creeped up to him.
After he had buried his clan's eyes, he took a bus that lead back to the town of his apartment.
During the whole ride, he stared out of the window, dazed.
He got down the bus on a bus stop and walked back to his apartment building in the remaining distance.
Once he arrived, he directly lunged at his bed, not even bothering to take a bath.
He just thought that it didn't even matter. He knew that even if he did, it would never wash away the filth and dirt he had gained from killing. It doesn't matter how many times he tries to clean them. Those blood stained hands, that he used to kill innocent people could never be cleansed.
He lay on his bed, his eyes not even showing any hint of success, happiness, joy.
He felt nothing...
"Heh... This is like the time when I thought the Phantom Troupe was dead" He said out loud, unconsciously, as he moved his hand and covered his eyes
Indeed it was. He looked back at that time in York Shin city, when the Phantom Troupe staged their 'death'. He certainly didn't feel happy. At first he thought that he was not satisfied with the way the troupe had 'died' since he thought that he needed to kill them by his own hands, which us why he thinks he felt unsatisfied with the way they had 'died'
But now, he realized that the reason why he didn't feel accomplished was that he didn't need to kill the troupe at all. He just needed to forgive them. Not kill them. Ever since the Kuruta clan became extinct, he never wanted to see anyone die again. Anyone he knew, he never wanted to see them die.
But could that even be possible?
I mean, we're all human right? We all have to die someday.
Ending his train of thoughts, he closed his eyes, slowly drifting to sleep.
