(Author's note: Hi yes maybe it's been 10 months. I apologize, but I'm determined to finish this story. Also the Manga is pretty much up to date to the hotel and my story that normally follows it has taken a different route due to me reaching here before Yana, so for the most part this is definitely my own story/ideas without guidlines, hope you guys still enjoy.)

"Yes, Sister Agnes?" You tried hard not to let your panic show, instead stitching your eyebrows together in a mild confusion.

"There's been a report of a burglar a few floors down. I'm taking all the girls currently unoccupied and awake for questioning."

"Wha- how do you know it was one of us?"

"Those dresses for the ball are by design, our patron frequents here, he knows this. Come, he vaguely remembers what the dress looks like, this shouldn't take long," she motioned for you to follow her, hiking her skirt up so she could charge up the stairs to the next room.

"Agnes, dear," the nurse squeezed Agnes' angry shoulder with reassurance stopping her in her tracks. Something hinted in the tone of her voice that you couldn't put your finger on, "I've been here for a few minutes with Miss Smith. I can assure you it wasn't her, she wouldn't have had time. I would've seen her in the hallways."

She let out a huff of air, "Very well if you're sure. I have other rooms to check." Sister Agnes walked away briskly to go round up any other maid awake and still clothed.

"Thank you-"

"Don't thank me. In," she pointed in the room with her steely voice, and you backed in as she closed it behind her. "What is your purpose here?"

"What are you-"

"Don't play with me Miss Smith, I am not a patient woman as you've figured out. Your pupils are dilated, the vein in your neck is pulsing faster than it should, the crook of your arm has a sheen of sweat. Mr Castle is deep asleep and you're fully dressed, so you clearly don't have any strenuous activities going on. Unless the burglar was you," her eyes narrowed daring you to deny it. Which of course, you did.

"Like you said, I couldn't have had time to come up the stairs," an innocent smile graced your face.

"Miss Smith," she gave a dark chuckle, "I applaud your twisting of words but we both know that was a lie I just told her. All I have to do is call Agnes back and Mr Dvorak will identify you without hesitation. So you have two choices, tell me what it is you're hoping to achieve here, or we go downstairs and have the Yard deal with you. Your choice."

Damn she was good. There wasn't any time to rack your brain for a lie, and she was too smart to stall. Facing the Yard was out of the question seeing as they know very well who you work for. Fine, what was one loose end to clean up? Knock her out and decide what to do later.

"And don't try to sell me the sap story of stealing for your child. Nothing was stolen, and you didn't use the front door. So," she sat down in the chair and switched on the light catching the diamond necklace Sebastian left. A small rainbow was casted in circles around the room. "Talk."

There went that.

"Very well..." you paced slowly, trying to figure out how to word this. Few minutes passed by, you could hear the slow ticking of the clock and get patience winding down with it. "I work for someone who suspects something unscrupulous funds the hotel. People check in and don't check out which is odd for a hotel. So I've been sent to investigate."

"And what have you found?"

"Nothing yet, just the connected rooms and a lift to somewhere I haven't gone yet. Someone was coming up so I rushed into the nearest room."
