As I heard what happened to my brother, I almost flew to my car. Yelling why had happened to everyone, I pulled Jared with me and took him to the car. He asked me what was going on, but I ignored him, about to burst into sobs of anger and pain and hurt. Who dared to do that to my brother! Who dared to touch him!!! NO ONE TOUCHES WHAT'S MINE! She hit the steering wheel and cursed.
"Why?!" I exclaimed, Jared touched my hand; and I almost flinched away, but didn't.
"Baby, what is it? Why is your brother in the hospital?"
"He got jumped by some guys in some alley," I said through gritted teeth. "And he's hurt, but not too serious, only a few cuts and all that. And he is having panick attacks, and he hasn't had one of thise since mom and dad-died. He needs me. He needs me." I remembered those first few days when I had tried to kill herself, how he had been there for me; how he cared and all. You didn't have to kill yourself, I could've helped you... I love you, Rosie. My baby sis, gone... Come back, Rosie.
I could just imagine the fear he must've been feeling when eing attacked. I just didn't know why ... In the hospital, I didn't even park, I just literally stopped on the side walk, the car a few feet away from the doors. And I practically flew through them. It wasn't funny. The whole thing wasn't to laugh upon. I saw the closest doctor and grabbed his arm, making him let go of his pad and pen, which fell to the ground with thuds and clicks.
"Rosie," he greeted. "H-"
"Where. Is. My. Brother." I ground out. The doctor gave me a pained look.
"He's in a room, sedated. We had to-"
"Where!" I yelled. I couldn't lose him, too, if I did: I was alone. Did anyone see the magnitud of that? Didn't anyone care? The doctor nodded once and led me to a room, half jogging and half running to it; when he got to the window, I put my hand on the door-
"For his own good," the doctor said. "Don't ask him too much. He doesn't want to talk." But Rosie glared at him.
"I know him, he's mine." I said. "I know what he'll do."
"Then, go on," the doctor sighed. I walked in and closed the door, puting the lock, a few moments later, I heard someone tap the window. Jared. He nodded at me once and left me alone when I smiled weakly once. I looked at my big brother, passing my hand through his hair, he looked peaceful and quiet, he was pale and had a black eye and a bruise on his jaw. There was a little cut on his lip and little purple-blue bruises on his arms. I sobbed. My big boy, I thought, unable to say the actual words. I'm sorry this happened to you. I am so, so sorry. As if he could sense my thoughts, he moved a little and his eyes fluttered open just a little, they were red with tears and pain and hurt ...
"Baby," he croaked. "Rosie, I'm so glad ..." He sat up with a cry of pain and a wince, I rushed to lay him back down.
"Shh, shh," I said. "Lay back down, Liam, you need to rest."
"They said that you were possesed, that you were going to hell for what you did, they-" Liam hit the bed with his fist and winced again. "I just wanted to protect you..." I couldn't take it anymore and began to cry. I jumped to my brother's arms and hugged him, and he tightened his death grip on me, ignoring the pain. He just held me tight and didn't let go. "I'm scared."
