Zoxhy's P.O.V

I walked in to English 3 late, great first day of school and I had a tardy already.

“Glad you could join us”

The teacher spoke, glaring at me from his papers. He was standing behind his desk, doing his ‘Welcome back to school speech’ he was a new teacher of that I was sure, he was young and I had never seen him around before. Here the teachers pretended not to know about us, they always turned their heads the other way when they saw us coming, and when we fought they pretended not to see or hear anything even when we were disrespectful to them if you asked me I would say they’re scare of us.

I scanned the room to see if there was any familiar face and my lips parted into a smile. Right by the window was Justin with a big goofy grin; he winks and sends me a kiss by kissing the palm of his hand and blowing it my way. He signals with a nod of his head to the empty chair in front of him. Actually it’s pretty empty all around him; to the right, front and back, the rest of the class sits on the other side of the room. I guess you could say they knew to keep their distance.

“We don’t have all day here.” The teacher barked. I rolled my eyes and played nice…well for today.

“Thank god you’re here! I swear I was starting to feel like a loser today.”

Justin pouted; he leaned in closer to my ear, elbows resting on his desk, head resting on his hands. Pulling the classic Macaulay Culkins pose from Home Alone, only he had a pout which looked pretty familiar to the ‘Duck face’

“That’s because you are a loser!”

His mouth hung open, now that’s the classic Macaulay Culkins face! I thought. He turned his head to the left pretending to be looking out the window. Now just one hand was supporting his head and the other hand rested on the desk.

“Oh cooooome on, don’t be a big teddy bear!!”

I turned my body around reaching for his hand but he pulled away pretending not to hear me. I knew what he was doing, giving me the silent treatment. Ugh! He’s so immature at times I thought but that thought made me smile.

“Okay, I’m still mad at you, but hurry give me your schedule.”

Justin reached across my desk and as fast as lighting took my schedule from my hand.

“But…”

“Shhh, I’m still not talking to you.”

Justin waved his hand as if he was dismissing me.

“I’m getting tired of you disrupting my class young lady, first day of school and I see who to watch out for already… that’s a shame.”

I turned slowly to face the teacher and I only caught the grin he had plaster on that stupid face, I was about to say something back but a voice behind beat me to it.

“Why don’t you back off?”

The teacher froze, obviously shocked by Justin’s question.

“Excuse me??”

“You heard me, back off of her, it’s not her fault you’re a dick.”

The teachers face turned bright red; he looked from me to Justin and from Justin to me. I smiled and slowly raised my middle finger. His face turned purple now.

“To the office both of you!!!!” he yelled spiting saliva everywhere.

I threw my head back and laughed, Justin chuckled behind me.

“You really don’t want to do that.” I said with the most angelic smile on my face.

“Yeah, you don’t. See the principle here… well he has other ‘important’ things to deal with, and I bet you a hundred dollars I’ll be back in less than five minutes.”
