Chapter 9

Xhy’s POV

I exit the house, silently smiling over Justin. Gogh what would my life be like without a little bit of his sunshine? I walked down the sidewalk towards the beach. I glanced up the sun was still up but it wouldn’t be long before it would go down and I knew that if I wasn’t home before dark or with the guys Justin would definitely start burning down this  town, I knew I only had about an hour and thirty minutes. That should be enough. I continued walking towards the beach; I passed happy teen agers, and happy families. I stopped to take my shoes off and continue to walk closer to the ocean so the waves would gently tickle my feet. The beach was starting to clear out, the happy families no longer looked happy but a bit worry as they continue to glance around nervously as they packed their stuff. I pulled my hoodys sleeve lower so they wouldn’t catch a glance on my bandana, I glace around to make sure I’m wasn’t being fallowed and I pull my hood up to cover my face, I stuff my hands in my hoody and continue to walk towards a secret place. My secret place is a place where I always use to hide and still till this day continue to do. Is an abandon house, what keeps it hidden? Well to it you have to walk through many rocks, the huge ones, there’s even some big enough that over the house from being view until you walk up to it. You could tell that it was once beautiful but time has run it down. Once I see the house near I sit on a rock closer to the ocean. I like to sit and think or just sit and observe everything around me. From here I can see people getting into their cars and some teenagers walking away, some daredevils staying behind just a little bit longer. I rest my head on my knees and wrap my arms around my legs. I remember on how I came across this place. I was with Ryan one day, we were out too late and it got dark, me being by myself was bad but if he was with me it just made it a bit worst. You see the streets are not safe once the sun goes down. That’s the time when the gangs usually come out. It can get a bit dangerous if you find yourself alone in the streets even for me, mostly because I’m alone. When you’re with your gang at night is different, you have a better chance of defending each other in case of anything. Is not like we’re vampires which would be a dumb way to compare us and is not like you’re safe even if the sun is up, you just have a better chance of not being jump. One night Ryan and I lost track of time, which is a stupid thing considering we could tell the sun was going down. We knew we wouldn’t it make it home safely, so we did what we thought was best, look for a hiding place. We came across this house after walking for just a bit. We came inside and stayed the night but not in a romantic way. Ryan and I were just like siblings that’s the kind of love we had for each other, but David never saw it that way. After that night this house was like our hideout and soon it became to feel like my save place. So now even after Ryan is no longer with me, I still like to come up here and feel save.

My phone rang making me jump and bringing me out of my thoughts.

“Hello”

I waited for an answer, already knowing who it was.

“You do realize that you have about fifteen minutes to get home before I start burning down this town right?”

I roll my eyes and smile; he always knew how to make me smile even when I didn’t wanted to.

“Relax, I’ll just crash here.”

“Where are you at?” his tone was serious, and that only meant one thing. He was worry

“You know where I’m at Justin”

“Xhy, why do you keep going down there? Stop doing this to yourself”

“Justin I ‘m fine, I swear”

I heard Justin blow air though his mouth, I was never going to hear the end of this one. See Justin never gets worked up about anything, he’s always just Justin, he never takes anything serious, but when he does (which is rare) he gets super serious it becomes scary.
