Prologue

(Cassie's POV)

"Mom, I going out for a walk!"

"Okay honey, be back by 5!"

"Sure Mom!"

I ran out the door and started my way to the park.

The park has always been one of my favorite places ever. It's the place where you can just relax and chill out.

I was nearing the park when I received a call from Rachel.

"Cassie! It's so nice to hear your voice!"

"Rachel! What's wrong?"

"Nothing, it's just I having a writer's block and Rita and Harry weren't home."

"Okay, well what do you wanna talk about, girl?"

"Well, how about you? Got a boyfriend yet?"

"What? No! You know me Rachel, that won't happen for the next few years."

"Suit yourself."

Then, I heard a door open on her side.

"Talk to you later Cassie, Cam just got home."

"Yeah yeah, go and have fun with your boyfriend."

I hung up and proceeded to the park.

And then it happened...

I was walking when these kids just ran past me. I lost my balance and was about to hit the cold, hard ground when someone grabbed my arm and pulled me up.

That someone was a man. Tall, handsome, muscular, he was amazing.

"Are you okay?" He asked me.

I snapped out of it and gave him a reply.

"Yeah, I'm fine, thank you by the way."

"No problem."
