BASICALLYIDOWRK - Remember When

I sit down at the bar, as I order a plain beer. I drink it fast as I just stare at it. "What have I done?" I mumble to myself. I don't know why, but Marcel and I broke up. I just broke up with my boyfriend because he cheated on me. Why did I ever left him?

I hear the bar door open, as I look over. I see Marcel, Tyler, Evan, and another girl all walk in. I look away and continue to stare at my drink as I mumble a song.

Marcel and I were friends since 2nd grade. We always got in trouble with each other too. They all say down at a table, as the girl is sitting close to Marcel and he has his arm around her waist.

"Do you remember when we started this mess?

My heart was beating out of my chest.

Remember when we stole your dad's car?

I never thought we'd take it that far." I sang. I didn't really care who was listening. The DJ started playing music to my song, as he walked over and handed me a microphone. I smiled and took it as I walked on stage.

"Remember when we, when we had it all?

Do you remember when?

Wish I was still the only one running cross your mind.

I guess I just wanted you to know.

Oh, from your ruby lips to your fingertips.

I can't believe I let you go." I sang on stage. Everyone was watching, as I only looked at Marcel. He was staring at me, as I just had a small smile on my lips.

"When we were kids sneaking bottles of wine.

I wanna go back, back  to what we had.

My heart was beating out of my chest!

Remember when we stole your dads car?

I never thought we'd take it that far!

Oh we were flying so high, yeah, partners in crime!" I started to kinda move my hips. As I brushed some my of (h/c) out of my face.

"Remember when we, when we had it all!

So why'd we ever say goodbye?" I looked at the ground. Smiled a little more, as I continued to sing. I looked up at Marcel was still staring at me. "Do you remember when?" I sang the last part. Everyone cheered, as I have back the microphone.

I walked off stage and passed by their table. I walked outside of the bar, as I started walking to my car. I was about to open the door before I was turned around and pushed against it. Marcel was standing there looking at me.

"Why'd we ever break up?" He asked. "I don't know." I said. He smashed his lips into mine, as I kissed back. "Does this mean the song worked?" I asked laughing. He chuckled and nodded.
