As we walked for a few more hours we finally reached Louisiana. We all sighed in relief when we could sit down and eat some real food. We were about to enter a restaurant when an old women came up to us and said " I would not go in there Katie Gardener." As she said my name the boys were already getting their swords out and I was behind them in shock. "How do you know my name?" I asked trying to hind all my fear from my voice "Why Katie dear I'm disappointed you don't recognize your own mother." And with that she was changing into Demeter "Mother...with all do respect I've never actually seen you before so this is the first time in all my life I actually get to see you so don't go being all disappointed in me." "Sweetie you know Gods can't see their children it's the law." By now the boys were behind me now with scared looks on their faces. "Percy got to meet his father and he was still learning that he was a demigod! He was 11 mom I found out when I was 5 and I'm meeting you at 16!" "Katie I came to help you on your quest, do you want the help or not?" I was still tense but I calmed my voice "Yes mother we would like your help, what do have to tell us." I said this all without strangling her that's a starter. "The flower you seek is no ordinary flower it glows in the light but not in the dark. The flower is easy to spot and is a light blue like the sky. You'll find this flower in a small garden by a store it's a place where no would think to look...Wal-Mart." When she finished she vanished "Gah this is so frustrating!" I yelled at the top of my lungs. "Katie calm down its ok at least we know where to go now." "Yeah  Travis I know that's great but meant my mom." "Katie we found out at the same age you did..." "Yeah but Conner you guys meet your dad after the war while you dad came down with some other gods my mother stayed up in Olympus." I was so frustrated I felt like hitting something! We went to a different restaurant because my mom said not to go into the other one so we went to Taco Bell for some tacos and went to get a room. When they got their room it was Conner turn to take a shower and to be honest I'm glad he did. Me and Travis were sitting in the room in silence when he spoke up "So do you want to play 20 questions?" "Sure I'll go first. What's your favorite color?" "Orange, yours?" "It was green like plants but for some reason I'm starting to like the color dark blue." I was hoping that he wouldn't see my blush the reason I like that color is because it's the color of his eyes. Ok so I have a tiny crush on Travis but I'm not sure he feels the same the way about me. We continued to play the game when Travis asked his last question "Who do you like Katie?" I tried to lie as best as I could "Umm I don't think I like anyone." I said this all with a casual voice but I could've sworn I saw hurt in eyes like when I yelled at him at the beginning of the quest. "Oh." "So do you like anyone Travis?" I asked and was hoping for my name to come out of his mouth. "Um well I do but I now know she doesn't feel the same way so yeah." Oh my gods he likes me he really likes me. "Hey guys what you doing?" Said Conner as he is walking out of the bathroom "Nothing just getting ready to go to sleep." said Travis. After that we were all asleep and up and ready for the final part of the quest.
