"You did complete that report I mentioned yesterday, right?" She was asked.
"I...yes I did. I believe...I emailed it back to you yesterday," Maddie stuttered her response back to her boss.
Maddie was often soft spoken, and for some reason this led people to question her reliability and intelligence. It bogged her down each and everyday, yet she still strived in the work that she completed. Often when she would go home at night she would wonder what prompted people to constantly second guess her and her work. Each morning she would tell herself that she would be strong and speak up. But when the time came, she remained her soft-spoken self. Old habits die hard.
Flipping through her notifications for the day, she ripped open the envelope and read through the contents.

She smiled upon reading the message within. The numbers and letters baffled her as she tried working out what possible code they could be hiding. After a few moments of pondering, she placed the message in one of her folders and continued on to the day's work.
