Brianna P.O.V

"Did you find her? " I asked , walking swiftly up the pack house porch steps , with my phone pressed to my ear. 

"Yes , Don't tell, Xavier I want it to be a surprise." Kate whispered back. " Play along."

I put on a saddened expression and said "Well , call me when you do"

Xavier could only hear my part of the conversation, and he looked shattered when I said the last part.

" I will ."

"Bye" I hung up , feeling like crap about lying.

Eh , i'll get over it.

" Kate said that Aaliyah texted her earlier and said she was somewhere in Chase , a few hours from here," I said , biting my bottom lip, " She told me they found her scent and it's not even an hour old."

Xavier looked up with such a upset and hopeful face that I almost yelled out .' We're just kidding , Kate's on her way back with Aaliyah and is not even half an hour away! No hard feelings? '

I rub my temple as I sit on the porch and watch as the sun peeks out from behind the clouds.

A beam of light hits my hand and I hiss in pain, scrambling into the pack house.

Kate's P.O.V

My brother is so gonna kill me when he realizes that I had lied.

We had stopped for a break not even a mile away from the pack house ,and what ever unemotional thing she was in snapped because now , she is acting like a demon unicorn on  freaking sugar high.

She was bouncing around , singing at the top of her lungs the chorus of 'here's to never growing up' by Avril Lavigne .

Singing radio head at the top of our lungs!

With the boom box blaring, as were falling in love!

Got a bottle of whatever but its getting us drunk singing ,

'Here's to never growing up!

We'll be running down the street yelling ' KISS MY A**'!

I'm like yeah whatever ,were still living like that!

When the suns going down , we'll be raising our cups singing,

'Here's to never growing up!'

Her chocolate colored hair bounced along with her, as she danced to her own voice

My laughter was barely contained as we kept going , she began explaining her theory on why unicorns were real when we walked in.

" BRIANNA , TELL THEM UNICORNS ARE TOO REAL!!" She screeches at the vampire , who  has a  'Who me? please  tell me not me ' look on her pale face.

The boys and I sneak away leaving only Brianna and the crazy chick.
