AMELIA

"Your parents are in a business meeting, Amelia." Our housekeeper informed me as I reach downstairs, seeing that no one is at the table.

"Okay. Thank you." I smile politely.

"Also, I wasn't the one who made your breakfast."

"Really? Who did?" I sat down and took a bite of the waffle in front of me.

"I did." Matt answered for her, sitting on the chair opposite of me.

"But why? It tastes great, by the way." I compliment with a quick smile, returning a straight face.

"I'm sorry I was rude to Mike yesterday, forgive me?" He pleads.

"Sure, whatever." I shrug, as I swallow another bite of the amazing waffle.

"I knew you'd love my cooking." He smirked, changing from sweet to cocky in a second.

"What's.. in.. this?!" I started coughing hysterically, drawing each word in between 'chokes.'

"What's wrong? Is it that bad?" His smirked disappeared, replaced with concern.

"Ha! Gotcha." I stuck out my tongue at him.

"Whatever." He glares at me, waving me off.

Now its my time to smirk.

Ding. Dong.

"I'll get it." Our housekeeper instantly responded to the bell.

"You like Mike, huh?" Matt started.

"I don't know yet." I smile at the thought of Mike.

"Is there a chance?"

"Absolutely." I laugh.

Liking Mike seems safer than liking Matt. Mike's more of the gentle type. My type.

"Looks like someone's talking about me behind my back." Mike came in with an amused expression, holding some cupcakes.

"Uh.. You heard that?" I stammer quietly, turning red.

"Don't worry, Amelia, I would be so flattered to be liked by someone as beautiful as you." Mike assures, setting the cupcakes on the table, making me giggle.

"Remember, she's not sure yet." Matt scoffed.

"Matt! You're being rude again." I scold him with a frown and a pointing finger.

"Sorry. I also apologize for last night." He says to Mike with a frown and flat tone. Well he sounded sincere. Not!

"Apology accepted. I actually thought there was something between you two." Mike shows a billion-dollar smile.

"We're just best friends!" I brush him off, laughing a bit.

"Yup, just best friends." Matt sighed with a sad tone to it.

"What brings you here?" I ask Mike.

"Well, since you're new to the city, my mom baked cupcakes for you." He motions to the cupcakes with another heart-stopping smile. Oh glob. Help me, I think I'm going to faint!

"Thank you! Would you two like to share it with me?" I invite the two boys to dig in.

"Sure." They both said at the same time, making me grin ear-to-ear.

"So, you want to hang out tomorrow?" Mike asks, swallowing a bit of cupcake.

"Sure. Where are we going?" I reply, sipping on my unfinished-yet hot chocolate.
