The Soldier moved quietly through the undergrowth of the French Alps. He had just completed his mission and intentionally missed the extraction.
He slowly crawled through the vegetation, looking for shelter from the light snowfall and the coming darkness. Another cave, maybe.
He paused. He could not recall when exactly he last seeked refuge in a cave, but he knew, somehow, that it happened recently and it happened with her.
He shook his head and resumed his trek. The assignment was easy, blow up a military convoy, be at extraction point in time. On his way to the rendezvouz, he saw an *unkindness* of ravens take flight from one of the trees, he watched them fly for a few seconds, and there was something about the way their feathers glinted in the waning sunset that reminded him of smiling brown eyes and soft lips.
That was when he decided to completely miss the extraction. She was going to find him. He was sure of it.

Yes, short chapter. But i wanted to have a bit of Bucky's POV. More of him in the next chapter. If any of you have read Valkyrie, then you should have an inkling as to what is going to happen next. Wink wink nudge nudge.
