CHAPTER 23.:

We just caught a young girl in one of the dark alleys. We all drank her blood, just so we were satisfied and looked healthier. Liam looked deeply into her eyes and told her to forget all that happened and then we let her go.

I was just wiping my mouth when my phone rang. It was an unknown number.

''Hello?'' i answered.

''Zayn?'' a voice that i could always recognize, no matter what.

''What's wrong Ella?'' i asked concirned. She didn't sound ok.

''It's everywhere Zayn...the smell is everywhere and i'm going nuts!'' she cried in the phone.

''Stay in your room Ella, we're coming.'' I said to her and hung up.

''Let's go!'' i said and i was really thankful for the vampire speed this time.

I quickly went to her room and when i opened the door there was no sign of Ella. I became even more worried, because she was extremely dangerous to everyone at this point.

I started looking for her down the halls, I even asked some of the nurses if they saw her anywhere and nobody saw her, which almost made me go mad. Liam and Katie were also looking for her.

Just as i was walking past the elevator Ella's doctor walked out.

''Wait!'' i exclaimed and he spun on his heels.

''Yes? May i help you?'' he said politely.

''Actually you can...i'm looking for Ella. She's not in her room.'' I explained.

''Oh, she just went to the laboratory with one of the nurses. We need to check her blood and make some other test, before we can let her go back home.'' The doctor said and a smile played on his lips. He seemed like a really nice person.

''Thank you very much!'' i said and patted his shoulder, then i started running towards the laboratory.

If my heart was still beating, it would probably beat like crazy right now. I was worried about Ella, but most of all i was worried about other people. They were all in danger.

I stopped in front of the doors of the laboratory. I listened carefully and then i heard sobbing.

I rushed in and the scene in front of my eyes shocked me.

Ella was sitting on the floor with her knees pressed against her chest. She was covered with blood and there was still some of it running down her chin.

I took a step closer and noticed that there was another person, laying on the floor, motionless.

''Ella...''i whispered and she winced and looked at me.

She was scared to death.

I kneeled next to her and embraced her. Her whole body was shaking.

''I...killed her...i killed an innocent woman....'' she said with barely audible voice.

''Shhh. Just relax babe....'' i whispered to her.

''I killed her Zayn...'' she started crying now.
