And to new beginnings it was indeed. After our late night dinner at Denny's, we left and drove out to a random field, sitting on the roof of her truck and watching the stars until the sun started to rise.

There she had explained to me her own feelings, how she started to feel them around the seventh grade but didn't say anything.

"I knew how you grew up, I wasn't about to come crashing in saying "Hey! I like you even though you too are a girl, wanna try things and go out?"" She laughed, her hand gently on mine as we sat on the roof of her truck. I laughed as well, knowing if she had said that back then I would have defiantly been slightly creeped out. I guess in time, things work out.

After that, things sort of stayed the same. We didn't kiss again after that night, she stayed over and we watched movies or she drove me to school. It seemed like forever before we brought our feelings back up again.

It was her who asked me out officially first. She knew I liked the cheesy things like flowers and cute dates, so that's what she did. She brought me Daisies, my favorite flowers, and took me out to the movies first. After the movies we went for a drive down the lake where we hung out until late at night. She drove me home and kissed me again, a kiss I had been waiting forever for.

After a few more dates, we became officially known to everyone around us. Least to say, my father wasn't very happy and told me I had to move out the second I turned 18. As for the people at school, we were often judged and even shunned for doing simple things as holding hands in the hall way. But we did our best to ignore them.

Even though I had some doubts, she had proved them wrong. And even though I thought we wouldn't last past the third month or one of our feelings would go away, she'd prove me wrong again and again.
