"I really am sorry." You repeat once again, leading Luke towards the couch.

"Y/N, it's fine! I honestly don't mind!"

"You don't have to stay with me! I know how much you wanted to go to Michael's party."

"I'd rather spend Halloween here, with you," He smiles, leaning in to kiss your lips. The pitter patter of tiny footsteps come clambering down the stairs, forcing you to pull away from Luke's lips. "And with your brother and sister!" He adds, opening his arms to cradle your younger siblings in his embrace.

"Are you going to come trick or treating with us, Luke?" Your little sister asks eagerly, bouncing up and down in her flats. Her big eyes were staring up at Luke with a hopeful glimmer.

"Of course I will accompany you on your journey, Princess Kelsey!" Luke says, crouching down to come face to face with the blushing princess.

"I'm a princess." She giggles, twirling around for Luke.

"A beautiful princess." Luke presses his lips to your sisters forehead and a blush rises up her cheeks. You always suspected that she had a slight crush on your boyfriend.

Seeing the two of them side by side, your 6 year old sister and your 6 ft tall boyfriend, was truly a sight to see. She was tiny and delicate and he was tall and lanky, it was hilarious.

"Luke, Luke!" Your brother, Adam, cries, tugging on Luke's sweater. "What about me? Do you like my costume?" Adam spins around in circles, showing off his Batman costume.

"Of course I do little dude! You look sick!"

"It better be sick. I worked so hard on that! I had to go to the store and find his size and everything!" You joke, giggling at your own words.

"Aw, my poor baby." Luke pouts, pecking your lips briefly causing your siblings to make gagging noises.

"Luke," Adam whisper yells, gesturing for Luke to bend down to his height. "Girls have cooties!"

"It's okay, I already got my cootie vaccine."

"When do I get a cootie vaccine?"

"When you hit puberty."

"When do I hit puberty?"

"Ok!" You begin, clapping your hands in order to end the dreaded puberty talk. "Who wants to carve pumpkins?"

"I do!" Kelsey screams, dashing off to the kitchen.

"The big one is mine!" Adam yells, catching up to his sister.

"You sure you want to do this? They aren't even hyped up on sugar yet." You warn.

"I'm sure. Let's go carve some pumpkins!"

*

You placed a round candle inside each of the pumpkins, lighting them up one by one. "Adam, Kelsey, come see!" You call out. The two kids race onto the porch with Luke not far behind. "My pumpkin is better than yours!" Kelsey proclaims, sticking her tongue out at Adam.

"No, mine is!"

"Hey, that's not nice you two!" Luke says, silencing their petty quarrel.

"Luke's right. They're both beautiful pumpkins! Go finish your dinner if you want to go trick or treating." The mere mention of trick or treating had them running inside to gobble up whatever was left of their pizza.

"Are you ready to take care of two kids on a sugar high?" You ask, raising an eyebrow at Luke.

"How hard can it be?"

"You can put them to bed then." You decide, turning on your heels and walking back into the house.

*

Door to door, the same procedure went down. "Trick or treat!" They'd say in unison. "Oh my gosh aren't you two adorable!" The house owner would say. Candy would be thrown into their bags, they would say thank you and be on their way to the next house.

"Don't you guys have enough candy?" You groan, your feet beginning to ache from all the walking.

"Nope!"

"You can go home, I'll watch them." Luke suggests.

"Yeah, sure. That's a wonderful idea!" You mutter sarcastically.

"Are you doubting me?"

"Yes."

"Why?"

"Maybe because they're already two houses ahead of us and you didn't notice?" You suggest.

"What? Oh, shit!" Luke yells, running towards your siblings and scooping them up in his arms.

"What an idiot." You mutter to yourself, catching up with the others.

"Adam, no more candy! You have to go to sleep!" Luke pants, continuing to chase Adam around the living room. "Give me the candy bag!" He yells, lunging towards your brother.

"Nope!" Adam screeches, racing towards you.

Kelsey had gone to sleep without a fight. She put down her candy bag and allowed you to tuck her in—Adam wasn't going down as easily. Luke claimed he'd be able to handle him and he told you to sit down and relax. So you did. You sat on the couch and watched Luke struggled.

"Y/N!" Luke whines. "Tell him to go to sleep!"

"I thought you could handle it!" You taunt, prying the bag from Adam's sticky hands.

"Well, I didn't know it would be this hard." He scoffs.

"Yeah, yeah. Can you handle putting him to bed?"

"Yes!"

"Good luck, Luke."

"I don't need luck. Let's go Adam."

Moments later, Luke descends down the stairs with a smug look on his face. "Told you I could do it." He says, plopping down beside you.

"Did I ever doubt you?"

"Yes! All you did was doubt me!"

"Whoops." You reply sheepishly.

"Whoops my ass." He grumbles.

"Shut up and cuddle me."

"Gladly."

You lay on the couch, your bodies intertwined as you watch the Halloween Marathon on AMC. "So, you don't regret wasting your Halloween babysitting?" You ask, looking up at Luke.

"Not one bit. I do regret not eating any candy though."

"Take from Kelsey's bag. She won't mind. Adam on the other hand, he'll bite your hand off."

"Good to know."

Luke reaches over and grabs the bag of candy. He throws an Aero bar in your direction and smiles. "Happy Halloween, babe."

"Happy Halloween, Luke."
