The Hit

As he took another right turn he immediately felt a rush, the same kind of rush you'd get if you went skydiving or decided to jump off an 100m diving board, and this is what Robin lived for.

He checked his rear view mirror and then looked at Roland, who was enjoying his chocolate ice cream, and decided to give Roland his scarf to use instead of spilling the brown mess all over his new car. So he took off his red velvet scarf, making sure to keep one hand on the wheel and turned round to pass it to him.

Roland then leant across the car to pick up the scarf and a cheerful smile spread across his chubby face as he used the scarf as a napkin and pretended he was in a posh restaurant! This made Robin smile as Roland used to play kitchens with Marian, his dead wife, and reminded him of all the happy memories they had once spent toget--

*BANG*

When Robin came round he felt an awful eerie pain in his left temple and felt a pain from where the air bag had hit his chest with great force. But his thoughts immediately turned to Roland who was crying in the back seat with no visible injuries. But then his thoughts turned to the more pressing issue, what had he hit?

Robin cautiously stepped out of the car and walked round to the front bonnet. On the floor was an unconscious woman with shortish black hair and, oh god what if she wasn't unconscious Robin thought to himself! No she must be unconscious, I mean he can't have killed anyone could he? He sprinted to the woman lying on the floor, took of his jacket placed it under her head and checked to see if she was breathing.

She wasn't....
