It was 3 am in the morning when a loud banging woke me from my dreamless sleep.
I frowned in confusion as I crawled out of bed, my eyes still half asleep as I tried to navigate my way to the pounding door that happened to be in sync with my pounding heart.
Who would be here at this time?I looked through my peep hole, only to see nothing but shadows as the door rattled beneath my palms.
I seemed to have started sweating excessively as my hands slid from the wooden door."Who is it?" I yelled, my eyes still looking through the peep hole.
"God damn it, Sab, open the door!" A man growled on the other side, his voice husky and dangerous.
But I knew that voice.
"David?" I quiestioned, my hands shaking wildly as I slowly unravel my bolt in locks as well as another 5 locks. A girl could never be too careful when living alone.
"Open the door, Sab, now!"
I frowned at his tone. He never raised his voice.
I slowly opened the door, trying to put myself between the wall and the door in order for David not to get the wrong idea. I wasn't comfortable with him being in my home at three in the morning.
But that didn't stop him from pushing through me, and in turn, causing me to fall to the ground in a loud thump.
I slowly stood up, my eyes warily watching David as he paced around my living room, his hands pulling at his hair."Why, Sab? Why?" He growled, his voice sounding completely cold in tone. His face was blank, scarily so, yet he seemed to be furious at something. I didn't ask what. "What's wrong with you?"
"W-what?" I stuttered, my breath hitching as David turned to me, this time his face displayed his heated anger. And it was pointing towards me.
He strode towards me, taking big steps, and within seconds he stood infront of me, his fists clenching and unclenching.
Before I could blink, his hands were grabbing at my arms bruisingly. I cried in pain as I flinched and struggled to move away from his harsh hold."Why haven't you slept with me? Told me you loved me?" He growled, although there seemed to be a small amount of vulnerability in his tone. "Why haven't you moved in with me? WHY DONT YOU LOVE ME?!"
I flinched and gasped, squirming away and trying to escape his grip. Tears strolled down my eyes involuntarily as I felt his nails digging into my skin.
Bringing my knee up, I connected it with his jewels and tried to punch him at the same time. Before I could grasp at the pain in my hand, I tried to make a run for my bedroom where I had a gun. But before I could get to the room, a hand grasped at my ankle painfully, pulling until I slammed into the ground."You slut!" He growled, his body hovering over mine as he alternated between punching me and chocking me.
Face.
Ribs.
Neck.It was getting harder and harder to breathe, but before the darkness consumed me, David stopped fighting.
His head fell against me, borrowing into the crook of my neck as he inhaled the scent of my hair.
"I've always loved you. Your smell, your smile. But you've never loved me back. Not enough to give me your body. I had to take Caroline's body, and Ashley's. You made me take them. In my head, they were you, Sab. All the women I took, I made sure looked like you. They didn't mind, those little sluts."
