"I love the rain. I love how it softens the outlines of things. The world becomes softly blurred, and I feel like I melt right into it." – Hanamoto Hagumi
Dawn.
Mountains.
Buildings.
Sunset.
City lights.
Perfection.
These are the kinds of sights I dream to see every day. I'm already lucky if I get to see it all together. I guess today is my lucky day.
As the sun slowly went down, the tall buildings' lights turn on and the big Thampton Bridge's light adds up to the whole scenery. I rarely get to see sights like this, maybe I should be out of the mansion more. I should've brought art materials too, maybe a pencil and paper will do.
Everything looks so picturesque.
I closed my eyes as the cool breeze hit my exposed skin, nadala na rin ng hangin ang buhok ko. My skinny jeans were covered with dirt, pati na rin ang puting long sleeve ko. Dorothy is going to be so pissed, well, I guess she's already pissed now dahil wala ako sa mansyon. Baka nga nagpatawag na ng search and rescue iyon.
The city looks so alive despite of the big clouds threatening to pour rain.
In my position, you can't see anything wrong until you look at it closely. From this angle, everything looks pretty, but when you look closer everything will change to a different perspective. You'll see the flaw in every beautiful thing you see.
I can actually compare that with my life.
People see my life as perfect, oh so perfect, but when they get a chance to see what it's really like... I bet a you hundred bucks they would scrunch their face up and turn their back to walk away.
Life is a never ending exploration of finding who you are and what your purpose in this world.
At the age of 17, I still have no clue or answer to both of that, but then again, I'm still young. There are a lot of things waiting for me. I just wish I had the energy or even the mood para salubungin ang mga iyon.
A raindrop kisses my cheek.
I extend my hand to feel every single drop. I love rain. Peace always comes with it. Wala na akong paki alam kung mabasa pa ako, I'll be drenched rin kapag ngayon ako gumalaw para umalis.
The slight smoke coming out of my mouth when I breathe was the evidence on how cold the night is. My brown boots made a squishy sound when I stepped out of the tree I was shading under a few hours ago. My clothes are drenched down to my undies. Sinilip ko ang kinaroroonan ni Dreamer, my white horse na nagsilbing transportation ko patungo rito. He's tied under the big tree, kahit papaano ay hindi siya gaanong nababasa.
I extend my hand again, the drops of water immediately fills my palm. My wet hair sticks to my forehead as my clothes did to my body.
I turn my head heavenward and closed my eyes again.
Unforgettable memories started flashing. All of it vividly floats in my head.
Me sitting on a bed in an unfamiliar room with unfamiliar people, the sound of the rain was the only thing audible.
Maybe that's why I love the rain. It reminded me how it all started.
