Rose's POV
"Master, we brought the new recruits." Sting said calmly looking at the man in front of them.
I tried keeping myself calm. I tried.
Yet here I was, staying next to Yukino while we were waiting for an answer.
"What magic do you use?" The Master turned to Yukino.
"C-celestial Spirit Magic." She stuttered looking down at the ground.
"Very well," The man spoke again turning towards me, "And you?"
"S-same."
"Not really special... Well, I guess we have to see in the future. For now you will bear the guild's mark. But remember: To make skies roar... to make earth boil... to make seas silent. That is Sabertooth."
"You two," Jiemma turned towards Sting and Rogue, "Show them around!
*
"Well, that was scary." I broke the awkward silence between all of us.
"Just a little." Yukino agreed.
"He's not that bad of a guy as long as you don't disappoint him. Then, he gets really mad. But that's how it should be," Sting explained, "We can't afford to lose."
"Well, guess so. Anyway, do you know anywhere we can get dinner from? I'm hungry." I whined.
"There's a diner right across the street." Rogue joined in.
I couldn't help but feel shock whenever he talked. It just happened so suddenly and it's so rare.
"I'm hungry too." Sting admitted.
"Me too. Me too."
I looked at the direction from where the voice was coming. A little red cat wearing a blue vest was running towards us. He reached Sting and jumped in his hands happily.
"Yo, Lector."
I stared at the small kitty. Soon my eyes started filling with tears. I tried swallowing them quietly but Yukino turned her head towards me. I could feel my legs giving in.
My friend hugged me and I burried my head in her white coat. I didn't cry. I didn't want to. I promised her that I won't.
I now realized that the boys were still here. I quickly cleared my troat.
"Lector, is it," I spoke hoping the pain in my voice won't be so visible, "Nice to meet you."
"Ah, new members," The cat squeaked jumping down from Sting's hands, "You're so pretty!"
Me and Yukino blushed at his comment, "Thank you. You're cute."
I kneed down to his level and petted his head.
"I haven't seen any Exceeds from a long time." I continued, playing with the little cat.
"Eh? Rogue, doushita no?" I heard Sting call his friend.
Rogue slowly walked towards us. He also kneed down to Lector's level. That sent shivers down my spine. We were so close I could feel his breath. Soft caramel scent filled the little space between us as he spoke.
"Where is Frosch?"
"Frosch?" I asked curiously.
But then, I regretted it. I looked over at Rogue. His face held a death glare and he was looking at Lector as if he was about to kill him.
I still blushed madly from the small distance between us. Rogue looked up at me and thank God, he wasn't that angry anymore. He even leaned in a little closer to me to which I backed away. I was now sitting on the ground in Yukino's feet.
"Rogue," I saw Sting grab him by the collar pulling him up, "Don't scare Lector!"
"What about me?!" I asked in a thin voice still embarrassed by what had just happened.
"Ah, don't scare Rachel too." Sting corrected himself.
"It's Rosalie!!" I snapped at him as Yukino helped me get off the ground.
"Same thing I said."
Rogue -still caught in Sting's grip- frowned a bit, "Why isn't Frosch coming to greet me?"
"He may be sleeping." Sting shrugged.
"I haven't seen him exit your room all day so he must be there."
Sting let go of the raven haired boy as Rogue started running down the corridor.
"Honestly," Sting shook his head, "He's way too soft."
"S-soft?" Yukino asked with a nervous laugh.
"If it's about Frosch that guy's as soft as a waffle." Sting commented.
I looked in the direction Rogue had just disappeared. Who was this Frosch anyway?
"Sting, is Frosch his Exceed?" I asked the blonde boy next to me.
"Yeah. He would do anything for that little guy." He nodded.
Yeah, I can imagine. I thought but decided to not let my feelings out.
