Rose's POV

I saw Rogue looking behind him. I realized the monkey was about to attack but I also saw that Rogue dropped Frosch in his attempt to dodge. I reacted as fast as I could.

Rogue's POV

"Hirake! Gate of the Fire Emperor!"

I looked up in the sky only to see something I wouldn't have believed if it weren't before my eyes.

An orange phoenix was flying up in the sky. The fire from it's feathers was fading into the air. It looked really beautiful - a mixture of red, orange, yellow and white. It was holding Frosch in its legs.

"Rosalie?! What did you do?" I managed while staring at the flame creature.

The bird just turned towards me.

"I don't have much magic power. Can you take care of it yourself?" Rosalie asked me and I nodded slowly.

"Take care of Frosch." I shouted and jumped towards the monkey.

Rosalie's POV

I started dragging myself to the near park so that I could sit on a bench. I held on tightly to the small Exceed in my hands.

I managed to reach the nearest bench and sat down placing Frosch in my lap. Only now I realized the small cat was sleeping. I smiled down at it.

"Sleep tight, little guy."

I petted it on the head and gently removed its pink hood. Staring at its soft green ears I felt the tears start to fall. I narrowed my eyes in attempt to stop them but I had no luck. I hugged the kitty tighter and it snuggled back wrapping its little paws around my waist.

I sobbed quietly putting its hood back on.

"Hey, why are you crying?" I heard Rogue.

He sat next to me and placed his hand on Frosch's back. Once he felt his heartbeat he smiled.

"He's okay." I assured him.

"Yeah," Rogue nodded, "He is happy too."

I looked back down at the cat. It seemed really calm which made me sob again.

"Don't cry, okay," Rogue tried again, "Everyone had lost someone in their life."

I looked up at him, "How?"

"I know the feeling."

He placed his arm around my shoulder and I put my head on his chest. Frosch shifted a bit and yawned. I wiped my tears away and waited for him to wake up compleatly.

"Rogue." He said sleepily.

"I'm here." The boy responded to which he received a hug from the Exceed.

"Fro doesn't know what happened. Fro got lost again."

The little green cat started crying to which Rogue hugged him tighter.

"Don't worry. I'm here with you."

"Sting was right. You are as soft as a waffle. Well, I'm going to go find them." I decided.

"Matte."

A small pink paw caught my sleeve just as I was about to stand up.

"You saved Frosch," Rogue continued for him, "He needs to thank you."

"Fro thinks so too."

"You did most of the work. I was just waiting-" I started but was cut off.

Frosch hugged my hand and stared right into my eyes.

"Warm."

I looked over at Rogue who was just as dumbfounded as I was.

"What'd you mean, Fro?" He gently asked his Exceed.

"The lady is warm."

I blushed slightly seeing as the kitty doesn't want to let go.

"Nē, Fro, let's go home." Rogue suggested to which Frosch nodded.

"Fro thinks so too."
