Rogue's POV

Ah, I see. First, she calls me freaky. Then, chooses me over Sting two times in a row. I really can't understand women or is it just that girl?

"What do you want?"

Rosalie's POV

I could literally feel Rogue's piercing red eyes on my back. And it wasn't a nice feeling.

"What do you want?" I snapped at him without even looking back.

"Do you know where my room is?" He answered with a question.

Aren't you supposed to know?!

"Cause we went past it like two minutes ago."

"Why didn't you say anything??"

"Well, you looked too deep in thought." He shrugged.

Facepalm.

"And I thought you were the smarter one."

"I am."

Suddenly my opinion on Sting changed to an even lower level.

"As you say," I turned around, "Lead the way, smartass."

"You are giving me quite the selection of nicknames." Rogue commented.

"Hmm... A freaky smartass isn't the worst thing I've ever thought of." I nodded.

"They're horrible."

"Just as much as you are~" I sang quietly.

"Is that so," He looked at me raising an eyebrow and smirking, "Why did you chose me then?"

I felt my cheeks heat and decided to go with a clishè shut up just to end our conversation.

Why did I chose him?

Not like he's something special. He is quite handsome with his dark sparkley hair but my friend Gray has the same. And his red eyes that froze you on spot but that wasn't the case either.

No, it was his smile. When he smiled it felt like the darkness of his heart went away little by little. It disappeared little by little.

"You should smile more." I said.

Honestly, it took me a couple of seconds to realize I said that out loud. I immediately looked down at the ground cursing myself mentally.

Rogue was just about to open the door but his hand froze on the door handle. After a second -which seemed like a decade for me - he released it and opened the door.

"Make yourself at home," He spoke like nothing happened. And that way was better, "is what I'm supposed to say, right?"

He turned around and to my biggest surprise a small smile managed to make its way on his face. He looked right into my eyes. I felt like his ones were trying to burn me alive.

"Like that?"

"Exactly." I smiled back at him as we laughed.

"You can leave your bag there," Rogue pointed in a random direction, "That's where the bathroom is. This is my bed. This is the one cupboard you shouldn't touch. That is my wardrobe you shouldn't touch that too."

He walked towards the bathroom and opened the door. I saw that there was a toilet, a sink and a bath tub. Simple enough.

"And do not touch anything in here. You can have these."

He handed me a couple of bath supplies that I wasn't expecting so most of them fell on the ground.

"You can do whatever it is you do I-"

"Rogue," I said putting my hands on his shoulders, "Calm down, okay? You've been talking too fast I could barely understand anything."

Rogue shook my hands off and sighed.

"I'll be going for some snacks. You want something?"

"...h-hai. A-anything is fine."

Once Rogue exited the door I dropped down on the floor and started speaking to myself.

"That guy..will drive me insane."

"Fro thinks so too."

I jumped up in surprise feeling chills running throughout my whole body.

"Frosch?" I called out in the dark room, "Is that you?"

"Um," The small Exceed nodded, "Were you talking about Rogue?"

I was taken aback by the cat's question. So taken aback I didn't even notice that the darkness was all around me.

"Ah...h-hai."

"But what is wrong with Rogue," The creature said through sobs, "Do you not want to be his friend?"

"No, that's not it," I shook my head as I felt the cat snuggling into me, "He's just way too different. It would be harder to succeed in my mission this way."

"Fro thinks so too."

What do you know? I thought smiling at the careless kitty. Your life is so simple.

Sting's POV

"That guy..will drive me insane."

"Fro thinks so too."

I was in my way to the snack bar when I heard the voices from Rogue's room. I hesitated for a second before getting closer.

"Um...were you talking about Rogue?"

"Ah...h-hai."

"But what is wrong with Rogue," I could hear Frosch sobbing, "Do you not want to be his friend?"

Friend. Be Rogue's friend. Those two things just don't match perfectly. Or at all.

"No, that's not it," My eyes widened, "He's just way too different. It would be harder to succeed in my mission this way."

Mission? What did she mean by that? Was she going to trick Rogue or something? I have to hurry and warn him.

"Fro thinks so too."
