As the blood drips, I feel in control of the pain that's within.  As I finished in the bathroom, I wrapped a towel around my average breasts. Tight enough to hold without my assistance. Walking towards my taller dresser, I grabbed my underwear off the top of my shorter dresser. Once I was standing in front of the taller dresser, I slid my underwear up my freshly shaved legs. I reached for the top drawer of the taller dresser and pulled out a pair of black skinny jeans and a long sleeve pink shirt. Heading to my car I stopped to pet the poor cat that's always roaming around the neighborhood.

"Hey, get in!" I said to Davine as I reached over to the passenger side door to pull open the door.  Davine kissed her boyfriend before diving into the front seat. Davine was my best friend. No one knew me like Davine knew me. Her long dreads fell down to mid-waist length. Her hershey skin glowed, forcing her big, dark brown eyes to shine. Davine and I had the same body type and weighed the same. Our height, that's a different story. I was 5'1 while she was 5'5, practically towering over me.

On the way to school we listened to the radio with the volume on max. This was our daily routine on the way to school. Pulling up to Winster street, a rectangular sign read, "East Side High School". I then parked on the senior side of the parking lot, which had about three hundred parking spaces. Seniors decided they weren't playing games this year. Everyone knew Davine, from freshman to seniors. All around everyone loved Davine. She was the type of person to make you smile even if you were her worst enemy. Her haters couldn't even hate her.

"Come on Fai we will be bate! Oh My God! I mean late!" Davine said laughing at herself like an idiot. She gets that from me.

"I'm coming, I'm coming Dee!" I shouted as she smiled back at me realizing I called her by her nickname.

We walked to homeroom, arm in arm. Our schedule was the same except for our electives. At orientation we made sure we would spend senior year side by side, no matter what. Homeroom was the same as always boring and filled with childish senior boys. As the day went on Davine did her usual complaining about how she wished the school day would end. Fridays always seem to go by slower, probably because of the fact we all wished it would pass by faster. Davine's complaining didn't help either.  Once lunch came, the rest of the school day was a wrap. On the way home Davine and I picked up her boyfriend of the week, Andre. Andre greeted me with an nervous smile. All of Davine's boyfriends try to suck up to me, assuming I will be nice to them and approve of them dating my best friend.

I unlocked the front door to my house, leading Davine and Andre into my room once the front door was closed behind them. I pointed at the chair by my computer and gave Andre an demanding look. He followed my demand by sitting in the chair and looking at Davine hoping she'd say something. Davine and I sat on my bed and started eating the chips she grabbed from my bedside snack drawer.

"Can I go on your computer?" Andre asked with a whisper.

I walked over to the desk and unlocked the computer after rolling my eyes at him.

"Fai what do you have to drink?" Davine announced as she made her way to the mini fridge that was on the side of the desk. She retrieved a Coke and then asked, "What y'all want to drink? There's Coke, water, and Kool-Aid."

"Toss me a Coke, please." Andre said opening his hands as if he was about to catch a football, spinning around to face Davine.

"You know what I want." I said with a mouth full of chips.

Making her way to the bed, Davine handed me a Kool-Aid pouch and sat down on the opposite side of the bed. She quickly opened the can of Coke and chugged half the can. She let out a loud burp and started laughing. She wasn't one to say excuse me, she always laughed only when it was heard.

"Hey babe, I have to go my boy is here to pick me up." Andre said getting up and kissing her on the forehead. She stood up to hug and kiss him. Then she walked him out the front door and waved him off as he drove away.

"I'm surprised how quiet he was when he was on the computer. He usually goes on Instagram and watches Vines, laughing uncontrollably."

"Has he been that quiet lately?"

"No not really, I think he is just trying to make a good impression." She said looking at me laughing. "Why do they always try to suck up to you? It truly is amusing how my boyfriends act to get an approval, knowing they won't get it."

"I know right. So when are you breaking up with this one? You know Damiyon is coming in this week right?" I said curious about what excuse she'll use to cut him loose.

"Of course I know when my baby is coming back! I always let them go in time for my baby's visit home. I'm telling Andre that he is getting too attached and it's time we should go our separate ways. I don't really care about sparing his feelings, I think he has been cheating anyway. I've already planned to do it tomorrow, I just wanted him one more time. He really is good in bed though, too bad I'm not a sucker for love." She explained with a smirk.

"You have no remorse." I said laughing till a tear ran down my cheek. "What do you think Andre is going to say? Do you think he'll try and make you stay or just go on his way?"

"What can I say I'm pretty much heartless. Also I think he will try to stay friends or something, maybe agree that we should go separate ways. I have to admit though, I can't wait to see Damiyon! I have been missing my baby like crazy!!" Davine said letting out a sigh.
