Chapter 3 Luanna

Sure, I was never the popular girl, I get bullied mainly because I am annoying, and so are my friends. Yes, I am a midget and a bit weird in the head but you should have seen Zoe, she is very weird in the head. I wouldn’t have minded if I was put in 10N but instead  I ended up in 10A, the worst form in the school, we always get class detentions even if only one person had caused the whole chaos, it is very frustrating sometimes. People think that I am never serious; sure, I don’t like to be serious. What is the fun of being a person with no spaces for fun? Yep, the serious Luanna is the worst oxymoron that anybody can think of. But I can be serious sometimes, I came out of the form room to chase Rosa and Zoe because I needed their help, nobody ever listen to me in normal occasions so it is obvious that they were not going to me then, of course I tried to. I stood up on a chair, shouting to get people’s attention, then what happened? Nobody listened to me and a blur knocked me down the chair onto the floor, the life of Luanna.

I stood there, simply stood there, watching people flooding into the hall, hearing their panicking voices, there is only one thing on my mind; what the hell is going on? Zoe clearly knew something because if she didn’t, then she wouldn’t have had a clearly plan, such as calling everybody in the school down to the hall. I knew she was lying when she came back from her detention, she was alright in the morning but it had seemed that she changed so much in that one little detention of hers, then she got called apparently by some random stranger, she might have thought that I completely forgotten about her when she stepped out of the form room to take the call but oh no I haven’t. The famous Luanna, the one that is always being deaf was eavesdropping on her friend. Sure, I wasn’t proud of that but I had to take necessary actions, that and my curiosity simply got the better of me.

First, it was our form, they simply pushed each other to get into the hall, I understood their feelings, that is what I would do and what I was trying hard stopping myself from  doing, but just like them, I wanted to know just what is happening and where Miss Berk and apparently Miss Oak is as well.

I could just SEE the irritation on Zoe’s face, she stormed back to the receptionists’ area and literally shouted into the speaker, her voice booming around the whole school; ‘Alright! People in the hall and on their way to the hall, can I repeat that can everybody please WALK to hall and queue in your forms!’ She practically screamed that last part, I covered my ears with my hands, I have seen Zoe losing her temper numerous of times but not like this, this is something serious and nobody can afford to lose time to just hang about screaming like little kids.

Gradually people ‘walked’ to the hall and after several shouts from Zoe again, people in the hall slowly queued in their forms. And THAT is what I admire of Zoe, usually nobody takes neither Zoe or me seriously and that is what usually annoys me, I always wanted people to just listen to me speaking without laughing, and it had seemed that Zoe had already achieve that.

Funnily enough, our dance teacher had disappeared as well, since we sort of discovered that as she literally teaches and spend her entire school time in the hall and she wasn’t there when we checked but she had left her usual microphone on one of the chairs on the stage, I looked at it, smiling to myself, I squeezed through ever so noisy crowd and climbed onto the stage, some people looked up at me, half expecting me to give a speech or something. Ha! Me? Nah! I smiled at them and grabbed the microphone, I looked past the crowd and out the glass doors, and I can see Ellen-L and Zoe’s eyes glued on my every single action, I did a proud little wave to them, even with my glasses, I could not see the expressions on their faces, but let’s just say that they were equally proud of me.

‘Hey! See, you Nitwits? I actually went to get something useful rather than shouting with my voice to everybody.’ I said jokingly. I ran towards the glass door and did that one thing I always do over and over again, I ran into the door and slammed my head hard. It wasn’t my fault, that glass door had annoyed my head since year seven, I have had many casualties on just that one door, when I rule the world, I will make a big sign on this door saying ‘Danger’.
