Four - The Final Task

okay so this is the last chapter, i didn't rlly want to write a long ass story that people wouldn't like so i thought i'd write a shortish one and see how it goes, leave feedback please as its much appreciated! thank you for reading :)

The group made it to the last room, which is bigger than the previous four. There was a box in the middle, again with a note attached to the top. Bailey took it upon herself to read the note to the group. "You are now at the final task; and one step away from your freedom. We would like to take a moment to thank you for completing the tasks that have been set in order to allow this park to open again. In the box you will find a gun. The gun is loaded with one bullet. You're going to play a game of Russian Roulette." The group interrupted Bailey before she could finish. Luke made the group quiet down so that Bailey could continue. "At the start, you made the choice between completing the assigned tasks or being killed, so in return for your participation, you will not be shooting yourselves in the head, but you will need to shoot yourselves somewhere. The doors will not open until someone is shot." Bailey finished reading the note to the group. "At least we don't have to die" Ashton chuckled. The group nodded along, kind of relieved that they wouldn't have to decide who gets shot as no one knows.

The group formed a circle on the floor. They all decided that they'd go for their thigh. Ashton had already ripped off the remainder of his shirt ready for whoever will need it. Luke offered to go first, as he hasn't been chosen to do any tasks. He was nervous, his hands shaking as he loaded the gun and aimed it to his thigh. Biting his lip and looking away, he pulled the trigger. He was met with a slight 'click' indicating that he wasn't shot. Luke passed the gun over to Paislee, who shakily took it from her boyfriends grasp. She loaded the gun and aimed it to her thigh, she was expecting to feel scared and as tears brimmed her eyes, Luke placed his hand on her shoulder to ease her comfort, and she pulled the trigger. What she didn't expect was hearing a loud gunshot and to be feeling immense pain as her boyfriend and her friends screamed at the sight of a bullet being shot into Paislee's thigh. Paislee screamed out in pain, tears pouring from her eyes as blood seeped through her jeans. Luke held her in his arms, crying with her, whilst Ashton tightly wrapped his shirt around Paislee's thigh. Natalia, Bailey and Ivana crawled over to their bestfriend and helped her up. Ivana stood at Paislee's left side, offering her support as she couldn't move by herself. Natalia stood on Paislee's right side, being extra careful as this was the side Paislee was shot. The girls made their way to the door, waiting for them to open.

The doors opened, revealing the man in the suit that threatened to kill them if they didn't complete the tasks. The man smirked, and began slowly clapping. "Well done." He said as he slowly eased his clapping, "there is a car waiting for you all outside. It will take you to the hospital so your wounds can be taken care of." The man began to walk away but was interrupted by an angry Luke. He walked up to the man and punched him square in the face, the man fell but that didn't stop Luke. "My girlfriend had to shoot herself in the leg so that your stupid park could open again. My fucking bestfriends had to cut off a finger just to lead to us getting told that our 'wounds will get taken care of'! And we don't even have their fingers because they had to be used to get us out of a fucking room so it's not like a nurse could just sew them back on!" Luke carried on throwing punches to the man's face, furious at what he and his friends had been through. Paislee cried harder at the sight of Luke "Luke stop you're going to kill him!" she screamed, but it was too late. The man was beaten to death by none other than Luke Hemmings, the boy who was so madly in love with his girlfriend that he'd do anything for her. Even if it meant killing a man.
