(Epilogue)

*6 months later*

Wally and I were sitting on the couch in the Cave. Wally had gotten removed from custody of Rudy and his mother. Wally lived with Uncle Barry and Aunt Iris, now. He still had a few scars from the injuries of his "father," and I could tell he felt self conscious about them. I liked to call them his battle scars. And they were. They prove to him that he can get through anything.

Wally's arm was around my shoulder as we watched a crappy chick flick. The girls wanted to watch it, but left in the middle. Both of us were too lazy to get up and change the movie. Besides, I was comfortable. My head was laying on Wally's chest with his arms wrapped around me. His weight went back to his original health, injuries healed, happer. So, I'm glad to say that he's back to himself. Well, almost. He would still have bad nightmares and anxiety attacks. Of course, he will still be traumatized, but he's getting there.

"Hey Wallace?" I whispered. Wally looked down at me. "Oh no, you used my full name. I'm in trouble, huh?" I chuckled. "No, I just want to tell you something." I told him softly. He quirked an eyebrow. "I want to tell you that I love you. And I mean it. I love you, a lot." He smiled and rolled his eyes, even though you could clearly see the affection in his eyes. "Oh sush, sap." Wally teased. I smiled. "You shush, dork." We laughed.

The rest of the team entered the living room and sat down with us. "This movie is still not over?" Artemis gaped. Wally "glared" at her. "You guys are the ones who picked it. "You could have changed it!" She countered. "Guys! Shush!" M'gann whispered yelled. She was curled into Conner's side, head on his chest. Kaldur smiled at the new couple and turned towards the bickering. "Let us be quiet so the others can watch in peace." Arti glared at KF and he in turn stuck his tongue out. We all settled in and watched the end of the movie.

Now, I know that this is the spot the camera would zoom away and the credits would start rolling, saying that the movie is over. But let's not do that. Let's just stay here. I know, not the regular happy ending, but to us it is. Now, I think the "screen" should go black. The rest is up for you to decide. Besides, as long as I have Wally at my side I can honestly say that this is the closest to a happy ending I'll get. But I'll take it.
