"Come on, Ciel!" I said tugging on his arm. "Let's go outside and play!"

"Charlotte, I told you I'm too busy for such childish games!" Ciel waved my hands away and went back to his work.

"Hmph!" I then turned and walked out the door.

Ciel was a short, skinny 14 year old boy. He had dark blue hair and a blue left eye. His right eye had a plain black eye patch covering it. Even though he is a handsome boy, he is not very nice. But he wasn't always this way.

Ever since Ciel reappeared after his manor caught on fire and his parents died, he has taken over the Phantomhive business; too busy for any free time. Also, he was a completely different person. The once, playful and sweet Ciel I knew, is now cold-hearted. Emotionless. Even so, he was still my childhood friend.... And the man I love.

It made my heart hurt to not be able to be with him. If he wasn't busy with business for his company, he would be doing stuff for the queen.

I was just a nuisance to him. I wasn't important to him. "Sigh." I was about to leave for home when the butler, Sebastian stopped me.

"Lady Charlotte, leaving so soon?" He asked. Sebastian was a tall, young and handsome man. He had black hair that was parted perfectly in the middle of his head. His eyes were a stunning ember color. Also, like always, he wore a freshly ironed butler suit.

"Yes, I must go. Ciel does not want to be bothered by me," I said depressed.

"I apologize, My Lady. The Young Master is very busy," Isn't he always? "But if you will, My Lady, would you please stay for an afternoon tea?" He smiled and gestured to the dining room. My stomach growled. I guess a little snack wouldn't hurt. "OK, I'll stay."

We walked into the dining room, and Sebastian seated me at the front of the table. He then disappeared into the kitchen and quickly came back out with a silver tray in his hand. As he approached the table, he uncovered the tray, revealing a marvelous looking cake.

"For a snack, I have prepared a chocolate chiffon cake with fresh wild berries," He said while cutting a piece of the cake. Then he grabbed the teapot that was on the table and poured it in my cup. "And what we have here is a white tea that we have just got this morning."

It all looked so delicious that I immediately scarfed it down. It wasn't very lady-like, but I didn't care; I was starved.

Afterwards, I quickly finished my cake and tea. I was full and refreshed! So I though I should take another shot at Ciel again. Maybe he finished his work and wanted to play.

----------------------------------------------

As I walked down the quiet hallway, I heard a couple of voices. As I got closer to Ciel's work room, the voices got a little louder. Then I realized that it was Ciel and Sebastian talking.

I wonder what they are talking about..... I silently put my ear to the door.

"Young Master, do please take a break. Lady Charlotte is upset with you," Sebastian said. I then heard Ciel make an annoyed sound. "I do not have time to play, the less I work, the longer I won't be able to make my enemies pay."

"But, Master..."

"Sebastian, do not argue with me! We made a contract, and you cannot disobey me," he said harshly. Enemies? Contract? What is Ciel talking about?

I then heard footsteps coming towards the door. Oh crap! I panicked and went inside the room that was close to me; it was a guest bedroom. Still hearing the footsteps I hid under the bed.

I quieted my heavy breathing but my heart was pounding in my ears. I looked at the doorway and saw a shadow. I stiffened. The figure came closer towards the bed and stopped right in front of me. But before it came any closer, it went away. A few moments later I sighed with relief.

But then someone grabbed my ankle, and pulled me out from under the bed. It was Sebastian.

"You know Miss Charlotte," he said coldly. "I do not care for eavesdroppers."
