Waking up early, I started to pack. Today I had to leave the Phantomhive manor. The reason I was staying with Ciel was because I wanted to spend time with him before I move.
Yes, I'm moving. But not across the street... But to another country. Because of my father's work, he was stationed in America. But I didn't want to go before seeing my love one last time.
"Sigh, finished," I announced to myself. Then I picked up my bags and went to say my goodbyes to everyone.
----------------------------------------------
Finny was the most sad about my departure. "Waaaaah!" He cried, "Please d-don't go, Miss Charlotte!" I looked at him and smiled. Softly stroking his head I said, "Please do not cry."
I cupped his face in my hands, "I promise, I will visit you again someday." With tears streaming down his face, he looked at me with his shiny puppy dog eyes and nodded slowly.
Then I turned to the maid, Mey-rin, and bowed. "O-oi! Please do take care, Milady!" She bowed forward too much and fell. "Aah!" But before she fell, I caught her. "T-thank you, yes sir!" I sighed, she was always extremly clumsy.
"Goodbye Bard, take care." I stuck out my hand and we shook. Bard, the chef of the house, then let go and started to tossle my hair. "Take care, kid." He grinned.
I looked down at the assistant butler, Tanaka. He was smiling and drinking his tea as usual. "Farewell, Tanaka," I said. "Ho ho ho!" He replied
Who else? "Take good care of yourself, Miss Charlotte." I turned around to face the handsome man.
Sebastian bowed on one knee and put his hand on his heart. "It has been a pleasure serving you, during your time here in the Phantomhive household."
I smiled kindly, "Thank you so much." Then I looked around the room. There was one last person to say goodbye to. But where was he?
Where is my beloved Ciel? I looked at Sebastian for an answer but his face said he didn't know. Grief spread throughout my body. How could I ever leave without saying goodbye to him? I dropped my bags and ran to the first place I thought he would be.
----------------------------------------------
I slightly opened the door to Ciel's office. "Ciel?" I asked. But no one replied. I walked inside. "Are you in here?" Then I heard a sigh. I walked closer to his chair that was turned away from me. Grabbing the top of it, I spun it around to reveal Ciel. He sweat dropped.
"Found you!" I sung. He just looked at me then turned away again. Pissed, I turned him around once more. "What's your problem?!" I yelled. He stayed silent making no eye contact.
"Oh I get it now," I said lowly. He looked up in confusion. "I guess you just didn't want to say goodbye to me." Tears starting to burst from my eyes. His eyes widened. "N-no!" He stood up and put his hand on my shoulder. But I shook him away, crying into my hands. The man I loved didn't care if I was gone or not. Like always, his work is way more important than his childhood friend.
He roughly grabbed my shoulders and made me look at him. "It's not that I didn't want to see you off," He looked down. "It was that I was afraid that if I saw you..." He trailed off. "If you saw me?" I repeated his words.
He lifted his head. "If I saw you, I would make you stay." My eyes widened. "You don't want me to leave?"
He pulled me into an embrace. "Please don't go," He whispered. My face got really red. This wasn't like him. Suddenly I realized that lately he has been acting a little strange. With the walk yesterday, and the night of the storm....
Then I relaxed in his arms. "I don't want to leave either." I admitted quietly.
For a while we stayed like that. But then I let go and freed myself. "But my parents would never let me stay." I said solemly.
He smirked. "Don't worry," he pointed to his head, "I have an idea."
