(A/N: Sorry I haven't updated in so long!!! Ever since school started, I've been getting mounds of homework. So to make it up to you, I've wrote this bonus chapter for you guys! Hope you enjoy it. And hopefully I'll update chapter nineteen soon!)
I walked down the streets of London with Ciel and Sebastian in tow. We wandered around looking at the stores and all the people in them.
Ciel needed to do some business and I decided to go with him. He needed to sell some toys for his company, Funtom. We soon strolled into a new looking toy store.
In the store, shelves and tables were filled with many fun and colorful toys. I stopped in front of the stuffed animals and picked up a cute stuffed panda. I hugged it tightly to my chest.
"So soft..." I whispered. Smiling sadly, I put down the panda and started to caught up with Ciel and Sebastian.
Ciel stood at the cash register tapping his finger impatiently as he was waiting for someone. Sebastian just stood silently beside him, as did I. After a couple minutes, a tall older man appeared and greeted us.
"Why, hello! How may I help you?" He asked in a friendly voice. His name tag read: Stewart McFarlon, Manager.
Ciel cleared his throat, "I am the earl of Phantomhive. I am here to show you my new line of toys I would like you to sell." Stewart nodded slowly, "Okay, let's see 'em!"
Ciel gave Sebastian a pointed look, to which Sebastian opened a large bag he has been holding. Inside contained a few spiffy looking Funtom toys. Stuffed animals, a board game, two lovely dolls, and finely crafted, wooden train set.
The manager started to examine to toys, making sure it was in good working order. Looking at these toys now... Made me miss being a kid.
... Then again, maybe not. But that's a story for another time. Anyway, after Stewart finished looking at the toys, he carefully placed the toys back in the bag.
"So do we have a deal?" Ciel asked the man. Stewart looked at Ciel and frowned. "I'm so sorry, but I'm not interested." He said coldly, his friendly demeanor long gone.
"And why is that?" Ciel inquired angrily. Stewart glared at him slightly. "Because I do not make deals with children."
Ciel clenched his fists and I was about to punch this rude old man in the face. I quickly stepped forward, about to strike, but was stopped by a white gloved hand. I looked up at Sebastian who gave me a reassuring, yet devilish, smile.
"No need to worry, Milady. I will handle this." He said in a monotone voice. He than walked around the counter and stood next to Stewart. Sebastian looked at his master, Ciel nodded as if he were approving something.
"Mr. McFarlon, if you do not wish to make a deal with my master... Then would you prefer us adults to discuss business?" Sebastian asked.
Stewart gave Sebastian an amused look. "You? You're just a mere butler... Not a business man." He laughed.
Sebastian was about to retort, but I cut him off. "Then how about me?" I asked the manager, putting my elbows on the counter and holding my head in my hands. I smiled at him sweetly.
"And what would a little girl like you know about business?" Stewart asked.
I stared up at the ceiling with a thoughtful look and tapped my chin. "Well... I know that I could sell anything if I wanted to- I'm pretty persuasive."
"Then persuade me, girl." He challenged me. I grinned, "Oh, I will. But could we discuss the matter privately?" I asked.
He nodded and motioned me to follow him. As I followed him into the back, Ciel grabbed my arm.
"What are you doing?!" Ciel whispered.
"Helping you out. Now don't worry, and let me do my thing." I said confidently. He gave me a suspicious look but he let me go. I then walked into Stewart's office and closed the door behind me.
I turned around and found Stewart sitting at his desk. "Ok, now that we are by ourselves, persuade me." He said. Suddenly he started unbuttoning. I frowned in disguse, that is not how I persuade people. Perverted old man, I persuade in a different way.
A wide grin spread across my face. "Whatever you say..." I murmured, cracking my knuckles.
-------------------------------------------------------------
After a little while, a bruised and disheveled Stewart and I walked out of the room and back to the front counter.
Sebastian and Ciel had looks of shock as we returned. "Charlotte...! W-What did you...?" Ciel stuttered a little.
"Ohhh... Nothing much, but I did convince him to take the deal." I said with a closed eye smile. I quickly turned my head around ,"Right... Mr. McFarlon?" I asked, cracking my eyes open a little with a creepy grin.
He flinched and nodded vigorously, "Y-Yes! It's a deal! I will sell your toys in my shop, and you will g-get 80 percent of the profit!" He yelped. I took a step closer to him.
"I-I mean you get 90 percent of the profit!" He corrected, as I nodded in approval. Then Ciel shook hands with Stewart and we left the shop.
As we were walking down the street, Ciel asked,"What did you do to him?"
"I'm just a good persuader!" I explained cheerfully, looking the watch on my wrist. "And it didn't take long at all!"
Ciel nodded in agreement. "Yes, and we still have lots of time before my lessons start. So why don't we take a look around these shops before we go home?"
"Ok!" I replayed eagerly.
--------------------------------------------------------------
We don't go into many shops, but in the ones we do go in, we look around for a while.
We went into some clothing shops, toy stores, and some other random shops. The last one we visited was another clothing store. It was filled with some of the nicest items I've ever seen.
But to Ciel, he probably thought that this stuff was cheap. My family makes an okay amount of money, but not nearly as much as Ciel.
Anyway, I browsed through many dresses and accessories, they were all so lovely. But none that I could afford caught my eye. Then I went into the jewelry section of the store.
I was speechless when I came across their necklaces. Also, there was a necklace that really caught my eye.
It looked a lot like Ciel's ring. The sapphire was a deep blue and was the same shape as Ciel's ring. The silver around it shined bright and new.
The only difference between the necklace and the ring was that: One, it was a necklace, and not a ring. Two, it has little diamonds around the sapphire that gave then necklace an extra sparkle. And three, it seemed a lot more expensive than the ring.
Looking closer at the price, it read $14,000.
I almost fell over after reading that, I could never afford that!
I don't remember how long I was staring at it, it was so beautiful yet expensive, that it entranced me. But I was interrupted my a hand on my should. Looking back, I meet the face of a handsome boy.
"Ready to go home, Charlotte?" Ciel asks. I turn to look at the necklace again for a couple seconds, Ciel follows my gaze. Then I turn back to him, "Ok... Let's go." I go to move but Ciel stops me.
He eyes the necklace," You seem to like that necklace, do you want it?" My eyes widen and I shake my head furiously. "W-What? Of course not! I-I was just looking at it." I protest and start to drag him out of the store.
As I said before, Ciel is very wealthy. But I have too much pride and guilt for him to buy it for me. He has already done so much for me, I couldn't ask for the necklace. I'll feel like I will have to repay him more.
"Man, I'm beat! C-Can't wait to go home!" I say, trying to change the subject and quickly get away from the store.
Ciel and Sebastian were silently following me when suddenly, "Oh! I seemed to have forgot something." Ciel quietly said.
He turned around and trudged off. "Wait, Ciel! I'll go with you."
"No. Sebastian, take Charlotte and yourself back to the carriage. I will be right back." And he started to walk away. "Come along, Miss Charlotte." Sebastian said, taking hold of my elbow and leading us back to the carriage.
--------------------------------------------------------------
After a while Ciel returned and we went home. When we arrived home, Ciel went off to his lessons and Sebastian immediately went to the kitchen to prepare dinner.
When dinner came around, I asked Ciel what he forgot earlier. He shrugged and kept on chewing his chicken. "Nothing important." He said, avoiding the question. He's been silent the whole dinner time. What's wrong?
At the end of supper, Ciel asked me to meet him in his office later. I agreed.
--------------------------------------------------------------
So later into the night, I quietly went to Ciel's office. I stood in front of the large wooden door wearing my pink summer night gown. It was a spaghetti strap dress: It was a pastel pink with dark pink lace at the lop and bottom, the dress stopped at my knees. Then I knocked lightly on the door.
"Come in." Ciel's emotionless voice said. I walked in and closed the door behind me. Ciel was sitting at his mahogany desk, still in his clothes from earlier.
"What did you want me here for?" I asked. He looked up from his desk. "Well..." He got up from his chair. "First, sit down." He was referring to the couch behind me. I plopped down on it.
Uh oh, what is he going to tell me?
"Remember when you asked me what it was that I forgot earlier today?" He questioned, sitting next to me. I sighed in relief. "Yes. What about it?"
"Well, let me show you." He said this as he reached under the couch and pulled out a box.
"What is this?" I asked, cocking my head to the side. He slowly opened it, pulling off the layers of wrapping paper and slowly pulling whatever it is out of the box. My sky blue eyes widen at the sparkling object in Ciel's hands.
"The necklace!?" I said in awe. He smiles at me and leans forward. My face burns as his gets closer to mine. He puts his hands around my neck and hooks the necklace. He leans back and admires me with the jewelry on.
"It looks breath taking on you, Charlotte." He breaths. I blush more,"T-Thank you, Ciel... But why did you g-get...?" I stutter.
"Because I know you, Charlotte. I know you wanted it, but you were too stubborn to admit it. And besides, it's also thanks for getting that man to sell my toys." Ciel said.
I smiled as bright as my necklace and threw myself at Ciel. "Thank you, Ciel!" I squealed as I hugged him. He hugged back "I'm glad your happy." He whispered in my ear.
His breath in my ear gave me shivers. At the corner of my eye I saw him smirk a little. I leaned back from him.
"I'm very grateful for this... But I feel like I should pay you back. Is there anything I could do for you?" I asked sadly, the guilt was kicking in.
"Why should you pay me back? It is a present from me to you. But if you insist..." His smirk grew. "What is it?" I asked innocently.
The next thing I knew... Ciel was on top of me. "C-Ciel?!" I gasped. He had a devilish smile, similar to one of Sebastian's "You asked if you could repay... so you can. With your body." My whole body reddens and struggled under Ciel's weight. He was surprisingly strong.
His hand took one of the straps of my dress and slowly removed it." Ciel s-stop!!" I yelled. He ignored me and moved his head closer to mine. Our lips a centimeter apart. I shut my eyes tight, as I waited for our lips to meet.
"Hehe...Hahaha!" I opened one eye and saw a chuckling Ciel. "Y-You ass." I hiss, my face still the color of an apple. He got off of me and pulled me to my feet.
"I'm sorry, Charlotte. I just had to!" He laughed. I sighed heavily as my shoulders slumped. He patted my head,"But really... you do look lovely with that necklace. And actually, this necklace looks a lot like my ring." He then held up his ring next to my necklace. They did look a lot alike.
"Well anyway... Thank you so much again for the necklace. I'm tired so I'm going to bed." I turn to leave but Ciel grabs me from behind. He hugs my waist and puts his chin on my shoulder. "Ciel... the joke is over." I say tiredly.
"I know," He sighs. "I just wanted to say..." He releases me and turns me around.
"Good night, Charlotte." Then he kissed me sweetly on the cheek. I smiled a little and returned a peck on his cheek. "Good night, Ciel. And thank you again."
Smiling, I walk to my room, touching the necklace he gave me. I fall into my bed and cover myself with the warm blankets.
Still feeling the spot where he kissed my cheek, I fall to sleep happy and peaceful.
