Chapter 16

*HUNTERS POV*

"What ya doin?" I ask Amanda as I walked down the stairs and she was in the kitchen. .

"Going for a jog." She answered. I raise my eyebrows.

"Why?" I ask. She furrows her eybrows.

"Because I want to...." She asnwered trailing off. I laugh.

"Seriously."

"I'm fat. I could lose some weight." She laughed. I roll my eyes.

"You're not fat." I say. She smiled and kissed me on the cheek and jogged out the door putting her earphones in.

"You're not!" I call again. I smile at her as she waves through the window. I watched her play on her phone for a minute and she slipped it in her pocket. I take out my phone and text her.

"Come inside." I say. She pulled out her phone and rolled her eyes. She slipped it back in her pocket and scowled at me. I smile at her and she took off down the street.

I walk up the stairs and get Sam.

I take her down the stairs and set her down. With my luck, she decides to play tag again today.

She giggled at me and ran down the hallway. I throw my head back and groan.

Good god if she wanted excersise she could have chased Sam around the house all day.

I get up and walk down the hallway.

"Sam?" I call out. I sigh. I keep walking around and look through all the doors calling out her name like she's a lost puppy.

I take out my phone.

"Amanda!" I scream when she answered.

"What?" She asks.

"I lost Sam." I say.

"...what?..." She asks. I chuckle.

"She ran down the hallway and now I can't find her! Come help me!" I complain.

"Nice. Find her!"
She laughed.

She hung up and I groan.

"Sam! I have cookies!!" I scream. I wait for a noise. Nothing. A giggle. Nothing. Good god.

"Samantha hayes!" I shout. I hear a small quiet laugh and I turn around and Amanda is standing at the door.

"What?" I ask.

"Dang, attitude." She laughs. I roll my eyes. I sit down on the couch and sigh.

"You find her." I complain. She rolls her eyes and walks down the hall. She came back a few minutes later with Sam in her arms.

"Wow." I laugh. Sam giggled at me and put her hand over her mouth. Amanda smiled at her.

"We should go to the park." Amanda says. I shrug. Yeah why not.

I stood up and Amanda and Sam walked out the door. I locked the front door and we got in the car and drove to the park.

When we got there Amanda for Sam out of the back and we sat down on the grass.

*AMANDAS POV*

"It's very hot out here." hunter complains.

"Get over it you baby." I tease. He laughed.

"I'm not use to the hot weather like you!" He exclaims.

"Gold god hunter all you are doing today is complaining. Get over yourself." I gently push his shoulder. He frowned at me.
"So I was going to ask you something." I change the subject.

"Whats that?" He asks.

"Well, Sam hasn't been over to meet the rest of my family and I haven't been there in a while. So I was going to ask if we could possibly maybe go down to texas for a few weeks?" I ask hoping he'd say yes.
He groaned and laid down on the grass.

"Texas is so far." He whined. I glare at him. He's constantly complaining because he knows it bugs me and not to mention I just told him to stop.

"I'm going to hit you." I threaten. I see a small smile creep across his face and he sat back up and looked at me.

"I was kidding. If course we can." He chuckled.
He put his arm around my shoulder and put Sam on his lap.

"Hunter I think she wants to run around." I say. He rolled his eyes and looked at me.

"Duh that's all she ever wants to do." Sam giggled at him and hunter stood up and leaned down and poked Sam in the arm.
"You're it." He said flatly. She looked up at him and poked him in the leg. He sighed and poked her in the arm again. She laughed and poked him in the leg again.

"You're it!" He says again and poked her. She kept laughing and poked him again.

"Wow. That's totally how you play tag. Best teacher ever." I say sarcastically and just watch them poke each other.

Hunter laughed at her and he started slowly walking away.

Not knowing what to do, Sam looked back at me and looked at hunter who was slowly walking away and she turned back at me.
"Go get him." I point at hunter. Sam smiled and she ran up to hunter. When she finally reached him, she grabbed on to his leg.

"Youre it hunter." I shout. He looks back at me and laughed.

He pulled sam off of his leg and poked her.

"Youre it." He said. Sam laughed again and they took off running. I laughed and stood up with my phone in my hand and ran after him.

Sam stopped running dead in her tracks when she got next to the duck pond.

Hunter kept running and looked back at Sam watching the ducks. I stood next to her and she smiled at me.

Hunter ran back over to us and grabbed sam from the ground earning a squeal from her.

"Gotcha." He said. He kissed her on the head.

He put her back down and kneeled down next to her. She giggled at him and poked him on the nose.

"You it." She tried saying and giggled. Hunters jaw dropped and she turned around and started running again. Hunter looked back at me and I was dying of laughter. He stood up and ran after her.

Sam turned her head and scrsamed when hunter was getting closer to her, I ran up in front of hunter and picked up Sam and sprinted across the lawn.

"That wasn't even fair." Hunter calls out. Sam was laughing and I turned to look at hunter and he is jogging towards us.

Sam hadn't let go of the smile on her face and she kept on giggling. I put her down on the grass.

"Come on. Let's go!" I tell her and I ran away followed by Sam. She sure is fast.

She runs funny though. I can't believe she's almost two.

Hunter stopped running and purposely collapsed onto the grass.

"Daddy!" Sam screams. She starts running towards hunter. Hunter had a smirk on his face. Sam stood above hunter and looked down at him.

"Gotcha again!" Hunter screams and drags her down on top of him.

He hugged her and she sat on his stomach.

"Give me a kiss?" Hunter asks Sam. She smiles and leaned down and gave him a kiss. He smiled.

I sat down next to them. Hunter looks over at me.

"Give me a kiss?" He asks playfully. I roll my eyes and he kissed me quickly and looked back at Sam.

"I love you." He said. I smile at him and be put his arm around me.

"I love you too." I say.
