Remember (Ai x Syo fanfic)

Awkward but nice

So the two started on working on their lyrics for their next album. It's actually also supposed to be sung with Hijirikawa Masato, but he currently had his hands full. Well Haruka was also supposed to be with them, but she was at a another meeting for STARISH. So, the only ones who could actually work on the song was Syo and Ai. Thankfully, Haruka already thought of the melody for the chorus section, so writing the lyrics may be easy. Maybe, there is an awkward atmosphere between the kouhai and senpai, who wouldn't be after their little incident at the amusement park. So the two were very silent. The only thing that was making noise were their pencils tapping or scratching sounds from writing. Everything was silent and Ai actually prefered it this way. It's not like he actually had a problem of the incident, more like, Syo was looking pretty focused, mostly uncomfortable though. From this data, the young senpai thought it was best to just stay silent. Syo on the otherhand was trying to focus on his work, but couldn't. He was sure he felt a few drops of sweat drop down his neck. Was it him or was the room unusually warm? It's him, he's just flustered. I mean he knew that the whole incident at the amusement park ment nothing, he knew that, so why did he feel so nervous around his senpai? He continued to daze off from his work and reality until he felt a fairly pale and cold finger poke his cheek. "Syo," Ai said, "would you mind to actually focus on writing your lyrics?" Syo finally snapping out of his gaze but his hand on his cheek in a defensive manner. "You didn't h-have to poke my cheek though! You could of just tapped my shoulder or arm!?" Syo yelled in an angry yet flustered manner. Ai replied, "I did, but you didn't respond when I did." Syo just sat in his place saying nothing. "Unless you had rather me call you the following: 100 cm midget, midget, shortie, or ochibi-san." After each insult, Syo got angrier and irritated by the second. He finally exploded after " ochibi-san". "I am not short what so ever!" Syo exclaimed with irritation. Syo continued to rant on with his anger at Ai, but while he did this the cyan-haured senpai felt somewhat relieved. He was starting to worry about the odd behavior Syo started to put on during their first few minutes on their one-on-one section of their schedule. Ai felt a bit confused again and thought to himself," It's not that I need to worry about him though. When did I even start to worry about him though?" After a few seconds, Ai concluded that it was just because of his kouhai-senapi relationship between Syo and himself. He finally snapped out of his thoughts once he heard Syo take a deep breath to calm down. The two started to focus again, but with a less tense atmosphere. This calm feeling finally lead Syo to finally discuss about his troubles with the lyrics. "The tune is fine, but i can't seem to get the lyrics." Syo said. Ai looked up to Syo ,"Well, then, I already came up with my parts, let's see if they may help." Syo blinked, usually ai would tell him to do his work on his own, but today Ai is helping him. He was a bit speechless but just let it slide, he couldn't let an opportunity like this go to waste. Syo then nodded and looked at his senpai's lyrics. What Ai had so far was,"These overflowing miracles are just sparkling. Wish! As long as I'm with you I'll be alright. A glower is blooming at the depths of my heart. " Then it ends there. "I thought you said you finished writing your parts." Syo said. "I said I came up with some, I never said I finished. Besides, to finish, I need ideas from you and Masato." Syo just sighed and just nodded. So the two tried to think of some more lyrics before time was up. Sadly no matter what they tried they were either :unable to think or they ended up in an argument. Therefore they concluded that they would have to think of the lyrics with Masato. Since the two had nothing after theirbmini meeting, theey decided to chat a bit. "Syo," Ai said, "you've been spacing out a lot today, are you alright?" Syo just responded with, I didn't get enough sleep." It was a lame excuse but it was a bit reasonable. "But in your schedule, it gives you 8 hours of sleep exactly. You shouldn't be tired. Besides, you were sleeping fine to me." Ai said. The last sentence caught Syo's attention. "Wait, you've seen me sleep?" Syo asked suspiciously. "You do understand I sometimes have to sleep a few minutes after you. I have to fill out some papers that concern you such as behavior and work. It makes sense that I've seen you and Natsuki sleep ." Ai said stoically. Syo just said,"Oh...," then he pause a bit before stating," So you've seen my face?" "No, I only check if your not tossing and turning in your sleep." Syo then nodded in understanding. "Well, about the lyrics, I wonder what we could do to give inspiration. "Syo asked. Ai thought for a few seconds, "Well, for one we should think about the theme. Our main focus is Love. Maybe with the President's permission, you could go ask Haruka on a date?" Syo, who was flustered, replied back snappily,"I don't want to go on "dates" ordered by you and Haruka is like a little sister to me now. Besides, even if I asked her out, she already has her sights out for someone else in STARISH." "It's Ittoki Otoya, if my data is correct, Haruka has had some romantic emotions towards this redhead. "Ai said. Syo nodded in agreement. "Well, why don't you go on a date with somene of your choice then?" Ai asked. "I would've done that already if I wanted too!" Syo yelled. "Your yelling at me? You really need to respect me shortie. Maybe I should double you schedule. " Ai said in a teasing manner yet monotonous. Syo then turned blue face and shook his head vigorously. His senpai who was amused with his kouhai's chuckled a bit. But this somehow went unoticed by Syo. Thankfully that means the awkwardness in the air was lifted. "Well then, it's almost time for us to go to our dorm rooms, Shall we head there now?" Ai asked. Syo, who has calmed down nodded. The two headed towards their rooms occasionally saying "hi" to their passing by group members. Sometimes trying to choke a certain orangeheaded male for calling Syo,"Ochibi-san." Once the two areived to their room, Ai instructed Syo and Natsuki (who finished his schedule a few minutes earlier than the duo) to get ready for bed. Ai had some extra work left so he sat at his desk. As Syo looked behind him, he saw his senpai working. But that's not the only thing he noticed. He also noticed a certain fluffy, purple bunny plushie on his senpai's bed. Syo snapped his head back foward with a tint of pink on his cheeks. He headed towards the bathroom, but with a slight smile which was unconsciously formed on his slightly pink face.
