"Are you guys busy tonight?" Corinne asked, setting her fork down against the small bed of lettuce on the table. She hadn't been sure how to bring Fred's offer up to her friends, though as dinner went on, she was finding it harder and harder to pretend not to notice the honey brown eyes skirting over her every few minutes.

Ella and Taylor glanced between one another for a moment in silence.

"Busy? What are you talking about?"

"Is there a party?" Taylor asked, excited smile making it's way to her face.

"It's a Monday." Corinne answered, though truthfully thinking that would certainly not have stopped the Weasleys.

"What did you have in mind?" Ella pressed on, ignoring Taylor.

"I'm not really sure..." Corinne hesitated, keeping her mind, and her gaze, far from the redhead she could barely make out from the edge of her vision. "Fred said he wanted to show us something tonight."

"Us?" Taylor asked, confused.

"Him including the two of you is the only reason I didn't run from the room screaming." Corinne shrugged.

"What was the context of this invite?" Ella asked, obviously trying to piece together Fred's intentions before agreeing to anything.

"Uh... We were talking about NEWTs..."

"I'm sure." Ella scoffed.

"I said I was going to fail Defense if Umbridge didn't actually start teaching us, and then he said he wanted to show us something."

"About NEWTs?" Taylor repeated, all excitement gone from her eyes now.

"I don't know." Corinne muttered, forcing down a few more bites of her dinner. "He said it was a little crazy, but not bad..."

"Hah!" Taylor laughed, draining the rest of her juice. "That could be their life motto."

Corinne smiled, though her stomach had dropped slightly as she watched as Fred and George appeared behind her friends from across the table, Fred finishing up the last half of a dinner roll.

"We ready?" George asked, glancing at the watch around his wrist as Fred took another bite of bread.

"I can hardly believe we're speaking to you..." Taylor teased, and Corinne held back an eye roll. "Feel like I should be screaming or throwing things to get you away."

Fred chuckled, warm smile flashing as his eyes met Corinne's. "You can still yell if you'd like. Baker does."

"I don't yell." Corinne bit back, climbing from her seat and starting down the table towards the exit, the twins mirroring each step from across the aisle.

"Whatever you say." He shrugged as they stepped through the doorway, following Fred and George up the steps.

"Now, seeing as we don't quite know what Corinne's gone and roped us into..." Ella started, and George grinned back her way as they climbed.

"Oh, Stevens, you really can't last another five minutes?"

"The suspense is killing them, Georgie." Fred laughed as they climbed the final staircase to the seventh floor. Corinne personally felt as though they were in fact being tricked, and was not looking forward to having to admit she had fallen for another Weasley prank just because he had seemed so sincere that afternoon...

Though finally, the twins turned another corner, leading them away from the familiarity of Gryffindor tower, a small group of students huddled up against a long stretch of hallway. Their eyes flashed towards Fred and George, relaxing at the sight, smiles pulling into grins.
