Silent Sadness
I'll keep my sadness silent, all to keep you happy, will you be happy though, if I keep this inside, if I stay compliant, keeping this to myself, to keep the pain out of your eyes, I'll keep it bottled up, to keep the pity off your face, just lock it up on a shelf, out of sight, away from you, away from the world, all to myself, out of light, you will never see, not a single tear, not a single sob, I will show you only smiles, this won't come out of me, just you wait, and you will see, I'll die before I let this out, no one should see my monster, no matter how much you bait, it tries to use me like a tool, I won't let it win, it will never escape, I am its prison, and I am no fool.
