"Hey Jennifer," calls out James, her go to IT buddy for quick fixes with computer problems. "Hey James," she says, "what's up?" He looks around and asks, "Got a minute to take a quick break. "Sure," she says, wondering why he seems a little skittish today. She follows him to the door leading out of the bank, she's dressed to impress for a promotion she has been eyeing since she started at the bank. She has on her favorite black skirt which comes down mid thigh and a matching blazer with a form fitting beige camisole underneath. Mark cause it her "Power Suit" because she looks like she means business in it and the skirt is a little short but still professional looking. Her matching black pumps clack on the ground as they step through the front door and James finally stops and turns to look at her. "Remember that program I told you I have been working on?" He asks. She raises her brows trying to remember the exact conversation but he continues on. "Well I just finished it," he says a sly smile creeping across his lips. "Why do I feel like I am about to become part of an evil conspiracy with you," she asks warily. "Because you are," he says smirking. "You are the only one I can trust here," he goes on, "and the power to do it, once you get this promotion." She puts her hands up, "Whoa, whoa slow down there buddy," telling her best friend and most trusted employee, "there's no guarantees I am getting this job." He looks over his shoulder once again and whispers in a conspiring voice, "I overheard the board talking and I heard they are going to give you the Vice President of the bank." She is overjoyed at this information as its a $20,000 a year pay raise and lord knows she and Mark could use it. "Earth to Jennifer," James says waving his hand in front of her face. "Sorry," she apologizes, "I was thinking about how great that is because Mark and I have been struggling with his overtime being cut and we have to pay for benefits now." James smiles his evil little smile once again and leans in closer, "How about some extra cash in your pocket?" He asks and then begins to reveal his new software program.
"The way it works is," he proceeds to tell her, "the software attaches a little "virus" to really CDs so if a rate is 4.25% for a six month CD then a very small percentage gets taken out and sent directly to a designated, untraceable account. "Jennifer looks at him warily, "Go on," she says, not really comfortable with what he is suggesting but willing to listen. "These rich tycoons will never miss the .05% that goes into our accounts that I set up. I have one set up for you and myself," he boasts. "I know you have been struggling with your bills and this will just be an extra cushion in our accounts and no harm to these guys, it's pennies to them." Jennifer knows this probably is a bad move but the extra cash and the fact that its untraceable and she trusts James whole heartedly has her agreeing to his proposal setting the wheels in motion for her unexpected visit....
