chapter 7/going home

today is everyone's last day here and it's pretty sad bc schools starting back up in like a month and sports.
we were all packing up to leave, "hey do you need any help?" clay said as he sat on my bed. "not at the moment." I replied stuffing everything in my suitcase.
Ashlyn was already all packed up along with Taylor but I was gone all yesterday at the beach with clay and Logan. Clay got up and grabbed the rest of my tee - shirts out of the drawer and put them in my suitcase.
I grabbed my laptop and cords and put them in my back pack so I had them for the car. we were all heading out the door and we got all of our stuff in the van and I was in the passenger seat clay was driving Cade Ashlyn and Logan were in the very back and Caden and tayy were in the back..(the middle I guess idk..)
as we were driving clay grabbed my hand and held it tight..it was like I was home.

we stopped at a gas station to get some drinks and if anyone wanted food but we are going to eat dinner around 6:30-7:00.
Ashlyn was asleep as well as Caden. we were trying to find a hotel to stay at for the night and would leave tomorrow at like 6-7 o"clock am.
*3 hours later*
it's now 8 and see still haven't gotten dinner, but no one was even hungry so it didn't even really matter.
we finally got to a hotel at around 10 and we didn't mind bringing in any bags. Clay walked in to get our room, we were on the top floor in room 757 and 756 the rooms we got had a connecting doors to the room.
