Everything that day started out normal. Ashton drove me to school, I tried to talk to Erica, I played around with Michael and I took notes. Everything was the new normal; everything was okay.

Until it wasn't.

Until I wound up in Luke's car, sobbing my eyes out. But, let's relive the moment that destroyed my life before I tell the outcome. Stay tuned, boys and girls, because the life of Mackayla Rene Brooke is about to go to hell.

The incident takes place in Greenwood Valley High School, locker 207, hallway A, 10:34 a.m.

I quietly put away my Chemistry book, thankful that within a few days, I'll be able to turn it in and completely forget about it, because, honestly, when am I going to use chemistry in life? Never, that's the correct answer.

It's too loud in the hallways, too giggly, too... much.Everyone's attached to their phones, loudly laughing at what I assume to be the next big Vine or something else stupid and meaningless. There's only a few more classes and lunch, and then I can go home. That's the only thing getting me through the day. That and Ashton, who's been texting me nonstop.

I hurry to my next class, phone in hand, just before the bell rings. Everyone stares at me as I walk to my seat, some saying snide comments, others smirking. It just seemed like one of those days. It was a Monday, after all.

"Hey, Mac, I heard you had some fun over the weekend," one girl says, flipping her totally fake blonde hair over one shoulder as she looks me up and down.

"Yeah, we all heard it," a guy rumbles, making everyone laugh.

I blush and walk to the back, sending a quick message to Erica. Even though we're not on speaking terms, I still text her. She's my diary, even if she doesn't reply.

Bitch: Hey what's going on? I'm confused

I put my phone away and focus on the board, pissed that she left me on read. The board says to get out our assignment from Friday, and I totally did it. (I really didn't). We take notes, have a class discussion, and get free time the last twenty minutes of class.

My phone vibrates, and my heart skips a beat.

Airwrecka: Meet me by your locker. Now.

For the first time in two weeks, Erica has replied to my messages. Thrilled, I ask my teacher if I can use the bathroom. He agrees of course, and as I walk out of the room with my notebook in hand, someone says in a low voice:

"Guess they're going to pull a quickie. What a slut."

I scurry out of the room, terrified. Are these comments directed towards me? Erica leans against my locker, and when I see her sullen face, the huge smile falls off of mine. "What happened?" I ask, grabbing her arm.

"I fucking told you he was going to break your heart!" she whisper-yells.

"What do you mean?"

"You guys had sex, right?" Erica asks in turn.

"What does that have to do-"

"Shut up, I'm talking," she huffs. "Your fucking boyfriend had a camera hidden somewhere in his room, and he took a video of it."

"What? Why would he- You can't go making accusations like that," I huff, crossing my arms over my chest, disbelieving her.

"Don't believe me? Check face book, instagram, twitter. It's everywhere."

Hands shaking, I open the face book app on my phone and instantly, I'm crowded with comments. They all lead to a video, a very intimate, personal video: a video of Ashton and I, having sex in his room, audio and everything. I specifically remember be extremely loud and telling him he was the best I've ever had afterwards. It was all there. From start to finish.

Tears roll down my face, and my phone falls to the floor, landing with an audible crack. Somewhere, down the hall, I hear thuds of footsteps. "Stay away from her!" Erica yells, holding me to her chest.

"Mackayla, I didn't mean to!" Ashton voices calls, only making my heart break more. I untangle myself from Erica's arms and turn to the boy I once called my future. I guess everything changes from this point on.

"You know what Ash," I let out a dry laugh. "You've fucked up a lot, and each time I've forgiven you. This time, you've gone too far-"

"Mackayla I-"

"SHUT THE FUCK UP! I'M TALKING!" I scream, the sound reverberating off the white concrete walls. "You had no right to do this! I trusted you," I say in a lower voice, nearly cracking at the seams. I wipe my eyes and cheeks with the back of my hand, and when I pull away, they're stained black from makeup.

"I thought you were different. I thought you loved me," I whisper.

"I do love you," Ashton says, taking a step forward as the bell rings. People file out of class, and soon there's a crowd around us, all recording on their phones, as if I haven't had enough of my life captured on film and shared.

Michael, Luke and Calum find their way to me, knowing exactly what's happening, judging by the looks on their face. They stand behind me, willing to defend me against their best friend- their brother.

"Don't." Ashton stops in his tracks. "I had meaningless, drunk sex with Luke, and he didn't even stoop this low. What we had was full of love on my part, and that does NOT need to be shared with the entire school."

"It was a stupid bet and I didn't even want to do it, but I did!" Ashton yells. "I'm sorry, okay, I fucked up!"

"NO FUCKING SHIT ASHTON," I yell back, closing the distance between us and pushing him. "How much did you get out of it huh? How much was I worth?!"

"Fifty dollars," he mumbles, looking ashamed. Fucking good, he should be.

I snort, turning back to Erica and the boys. Someone has picked my phone off the floor. Ashton grabs my wrist, pulling me to him. I hit him square in the jaw with a left hook.

"If you didn't get the hint, I'm done with you. You got your money, leave me alone," I snap, tearing away from him and pushing straight through the crowd. Erica and the boys sprint after me, telling me to quit running. I don't.

Running is the only way I know how to solve my problems, and Ashton just became one of them.

This just changed everything >.< anyways, I'm off to school, so everyone have a good day/night.
