My Mate Is My Brother's Best Friend

Chapter 9

I look at Matthew and I can tell he is having a fight with his wolf. I touch his face and he calms down.

Makayla's Pov

 Today is my fifth day in heat and It is the worst day of heat. I woke up sweating buckets, thankfully Matthew wasn't there because that was probably unattractive. Then I went to is bathroom since it is closer. I turned the water for the shower as cold as it could possibly be and hop in. The super cold water feels so nice on my burning skin. Then I come out of the bathroom with Matthew's fluffy towel on me to see my mate sitting on his bed. He gives me one of his shirts and I walk back into the bathroom and put it on. When I come back into his room his eyes are black and full of lust? Hatred? Anger? I don't know why he's looking at me like that. I shake it off and sit next to him. He imidiatly gets off the bed and walks out of the room.I lay down on the bed and cry into one of his pillows.

"He doesn't want me." I cry into the pillow in between sobs. I feel like my heart has been crushed. All I wanted was to sit next to him and he is too disgusted by me to let me sit next to him. He hates me doesn't he.

'He doesn't hate us' my wolf says

'Well then whats his problem?' 

She doesn't respond so I know that I am right. I walk out of Matthew's room and head into mine and start packing all of my valuables and  then I write Matthew a letter.

 Dear Matthew,

    I know you never wanted me to be your mate. You only excepted because Marcus is best friend and your beta and that your parents would hate you if you didn't. So I am going because who would want a disgusting mate like me. I suggest you move on and find a fake mate it's not like anyone cared that I was your mate anyway. I am leaving. Don't go looking for me.I will be fine by my own and I will send Marcus, Emma, and Maria letters. Don't worry about me though I doubt you will.
