Chapter 8: The Magical Day

    The baby shower planning was simple. We invited everyone we knew. This was also a pregnancy reveal for my distant family. Felicity was spoiled rotten. A few of our friends helped plan since focusing was difficult with my baby constantly stating her opinion. The colors were pink and yellow.

My mom let us use the house and the party would be Saturday. Saturday morning and Felicity couldn't be anymore excited. She knew if she showed her happiness, she'd hurt me. She even told me that she'd be extra careful because she loved me so. We woke Adeline and she quickly got dressed and headed out to get the balloons and cake.

  Mom was coming home today to help with the party. Felicity wanted to start the party. It's supposed to start at noon so we had two hours. She thought it was later than it was because she got up before the rest of us.

  Mom soon pulled in the driveway with some table cloths for me to choose. I picked the one with hot pink polka-dots. Adeline came shortly after that. Every thing was white with different shades of pink polka-dots.

  The party started soon and everyone showed up. First we went for the cake. It was all white with light pink roses on the corners. It had (in hot pink) "Felicity" written across the middle. Everyone loved it.

  We got to the presents next. First, she got a soft silk light pink blanket. That was from Adeline. My mom gave me a whole bunch of pacifiers and bottles. My moms sister (Aunt Mary) gave me three baby gates and teething wrings. Everyone else just gave us clothes and toys. I was cooing over a dress when Felicity tried to get my attention. I could barely hear her over that chatter going through my friends.

  Just then I felt huge pains in mt stomach. "MOM" I screamed "FELICITY IS NOT HOLDING BACK!!!" Felicity was screaming "Mommy! Go tot the hospital! I'm coming out" Adeline helped me into the car and my mom drove us to the hospital. Most of the people that were there went home. Others followed us to the hospital.

  When we got there I was immediately rushed to a room. My mom and best friend were right by my sides. My doctor that I was set up to have was literally running to the room. Before we knew it, she was there. I don't remember much but I remember my mom and doctor saying "PUSH HONEY PUSH".

  Adeline held my hand and was singing to me. I kept pushing and soon enough everyone was saying "Good job!". The doctor layed my bloody but beautiful Felicity on my chest. I held her and looked into her eyes that were Emerald green just like mine and I saw who I was. "You're so Beautiful" slipped out of my lips "I love you"
