In no time at all, Defense Against the Dark Arts had become most students' favorite class. Only Draco Malfoy had anything bad to say about Professor Lupin.

"Look at the state of his robes," he would say in a loud whisper as Professor Lupin passed.

"Uh, Draco?"

"He dresses like our old house-elf."

"Uh oh, I wouldn't look to my right if I were you," Theo said in a warning tone.

There, in Draco's right side was Carina glaring at him like a devil with her eyes staring straight into his bluish gray ones.

Draco evidently went pale, he admits it that Carina is very powerful when it comes to spells and he would be lying if he didn't say that he's scared of her.

"Insult him one more time, and you'll see it coming, Malfoy. You better hope it's not a green light flashing towards you," she said slowly, taking out her wand and pointing it at him.

"Okay! I'm sorry, I forgot," he said, raising both his arms in surrender.

"Please, if you want to insult someone, leave Moony alone. What's the point of Potter's existence?"

"Yeah, right? Just focus on Potter, Dray," Blaise said.

"Sometimes I wonder if you and Potter are secret lovers," Theo said to annoy the blonde more.

"Shut up will you!"

Carina smacked his head, not fully forgiving him but it'll do. No one can mess with Moony. Not on her watch.

It's still an hour before her next class, and Carina doesn't know what to do.

It's been weeks since her conversation with Remus, and she suddenly remembered the memory/dreams she had.

She remembers the scene where the group of happy friends are carving something into the tree near the black lake.

Perfect!

She will go check it out to see if it's actually true or Moony is just joking.

She slipped passed her friends who was busy laughing and snickering at something. Gathered her belongings and hurriedly went to the black lake.

When she got there, a couple of trees can be seen so she is not certain which one is in her dream.

She tried remembering the scene again, how the lake looks like and how it faces the tree. She tried looking to one but she didn't see any carving of such.

She tried again and nothing.

And again, and again, and again.

"Ugh! I knew it wasn't real! Why would I even dream about my mom's friends hanging out? Weirdo...," she quietly said.

She set her bag on the branch of a tree which was the nearest to the lake and sat beside it. Admiring the soft and calm waters ahead.

She leaned on the tree when she noticed something.

Faint, but it was there.

In this tree, we vowed friendship

The first set of names seemed older, it was more faint but it can still be read. The names after the + sign seemed newer with only a few blackened spots on the letters.
