ANNABETH

Normally, she'd be pissed that Leo made her play defence. But she wasn't for two reasons:
       1) The plan makes it so that she's got one of the biggest roles
       2) Piper is also in defence.

The plan was the the two of them and a few other campers would defend while a bunch of scouts went and checked where the defences are, making it look like they were attacking. They had some other people who would do the first attack, and as a group they will attempt to win, but they don't have our best gear or our best people. They just do that in case. Then, once the scouts are back, they tell Annabeth and Piper the best route to the flag. They will pass the flag to each-other and take turns defending. Then our first attack group will join them to add some numbers, and the scouts help defend.

Apollo cabin was the biggest threat against them, so Leo convinced Nico and Caity (who he only met after asking "Who here's close to Angus?") to distract their healers, while he himself will stop the others by burning their arrows.

The plan was better than one Annabeth would've thought of in that short an amount of time.

Percy and Jason had a similar role to them, except that they just had to go somewhere hidden with Hazel where she made a stick look like a flag using the mist. Then they had to take that back while Annabeth and Piper went to get the real thing.

The plan worked out perfectly.

"Good job, guys!' Leo grinned. He seemed surprised that the plan he made actually worked. "You were all amazing!"

The team cheered and lifted Leo up like a crowd at a concert. But Annabeth's attention was going to a child of Nemesis who was whispering something in a child of Apollo's ear.

Later, before everyone went to bed, the same child of Apollo was shooting arrows into the air, and they exploded when the got to a certain height. When they exploded, glitter faded down. He turned around to see Piper and Annabeth, and shot an arrow at them, giggling.

Immediately Piper opened her mouth, confused, and went to talk. But instead, she just sang. It was weird.

"I can paint with the colours of the-" she put a hand over her mouth to stop herself. For about 5 minutes, they attempted to converse, but all that came out was songs from Disney movies. Then they cracked up laughing.

For the rest of the night, people tried to talk to them. They stuck together, and Annabeth always used sign-language to say 'We can't talk."

It was like that for a week. But Annabeth had started to develop feelings for Piper that she never had before. They were... Romantic feelings! She never thought she'd feel this way about her best friend.

After a few days, Annabeth and Piper were attempting to communicate through song, then sign-language, then morse-code. They were laughing together because neither of them understood the other. But Annabeth did something she didn't expect.

"Shalalalala, don't be scared. You better be prepared. Go on and kiss the girl. Shalalalala, don't stop now, don't try to hide it how you wanna kiss the girl. Go on and kiss the girl." she sang. Piper's eyes were fixed on Annabeth's. Neither of them knew what was about to happen, but they both wanted one thing: for her to kiss the girl.

"I love you... Certain as the sun, ah ah ah, rising in the east. Tale old as time, song as old as rhyme..." Piper sang in reply.

Then they kissed. It felt right, a perfect kiss. Like when Annabeth was kissing Percy, she was just preparing for this. There lips touched so softly and neither of them sang a word. Time stayed still, and everything around them faded away. It was just the two of them, lips together, holding each-others bodies softly.

When they pulled away, Annabeth grinned. She spent the rest of the day thinking about that kiss. And that night, she sang herself to sleep under her breath.

"So this is love..." she sang.

And she hadn't a clue that Piper was singing the same thing.
