23: Elijah

A/N: Can't be bothered with making the reader have an accent anymore, she'll have one, but it's annoying to type when I'm writing y'know ;(

"You got a dog?"

Daniel shook his head, his hand rubbing the back of his neck.

"Uh, yeah. Y'know, the dog under the bridge near Han river. Yeah, she kinda came home with me one day, and her pups. But I couldn't take care of the pups, so Jay's taking care of them"

"Wow." You replied. You were in the classroom currently sitting down on the corner of Daniel's desk, he didn't know how to feel about that. He was just explaining how he ended up with a dog, the story also involved the transfer student.

The two of you were catching up on what you were doing over the weekend. You told him how you got first place in a taekwondo competition as he praised you, which stroked your ego. Daniel then went on to explain what happened with the Doo situation and blah blah blah Zack broke his arm again, the dumb ass, Doo turned a new page and all is well.

Oh, and Daniel's once again a Pacebook star.

"Well, sounds like your weekend was quite the experience." You laughed hopping off Daniel's desk. He let out a sigh of relief.

"You could say that, it wasn't even half of it at that point" Daniel replied, sweat forming on his forehead.

Tilting your head to the side, you faced Daniel with a curious look. "Do tell?"

He then went on to say that Enu, his dog, got into a fight protecting her pups. Then the eldest pup fought and got injured, then he arrived and pushed the dog off the pup and scared it off. They managed to get the two dogs to the vet, and now they're safe at home.

The whole thing sounded scary, especially to a dog you just got to trust you, but on a side note, it was a very heroic story.

"I wouldn't have been able to pay for the vet bills if it weren't for Jay." Daniel finished with a small, thankful smile. You gave him a pat on the back.

The door to the classroom opened and Zack came in. He was sporting new white casts on both of his arms. Both of you turned to look at him, you raised an arm up in greeting.

"Mornin' Zack"

"Good morning Zack." Daniel softly spoke.

Looking up from his phone, Zack acknowledged the two of you with a greeting. Walking over to his desk, he sat down.

"Heard you had a grand ol' time. New casts is it?" You teased, leaning towards his desk. He flushed pink while peeking a look at Mira, who was talking to Jasmine. Mira didn't look his way, you snickered.

"I didn't fight that badly." Zack murmured.

You and Daniel's eyes met, a thousand words passed, you both shook your head at him.

"What's with that!" Zack flushed a darker pink.

"You have new casts? I don't think I quite believe ya" You replied, he just huffed and went back to muttering underneath his breath.

Daniel exchanged a look with you, you sent him a smile before walking off to your desk.

It was a coolish day today, so most students opted to wear the long sleeved blouse. The wind blew a few of the courtyard trees around, making the leaves dance. Your newish sneakers that Jay had gotten you walked across the tiled floor of the classroom. Jay sat at his normal desk, supposedly looking out the window.

You sat down at your desk and looked at Jay. Jay turned as soon as he felt your presence beside him. You sent him a smile.

"Morning Jay, I didn't see you come in."
