I scampered in front of my sister and boldly asked, "What are you doing here?"

The first cat snarled, "I would ask the same for you." The cat took a deep sniff, then growled, "Kittypet smell. You cat's have all the food you want, yet you come here and kill our prey, for fun."

My sister stepped forward, "Um... Scourge sent us!" The two cats instantly stepped down after that. "Really?"

I caught on and said, "Yeah, how dare you defy us, we will certainly report to Scourge for this." The two cats bowed down and whimpered, "Please, don't tell Tigerstar."

Ruby eyes gleamed, "Take us to this Tigerstar." The two cats instantly obeyed, and led us to a clearing. On the clearing was a hill made of bones. The sight made me sick, but I decided not to say anything. The two cats kept heading toward a tall rock. On the rock was a tabby cat. Muscles rippled underneath his pelt. His cold gaze rested on me. "Scarclaw, Moonriver, why do you bring two kittypets in my midst?"

Scarclaw cowered beneath Tigerstar, "Oh great Tigerstar, they say are from our allies, BloodClan. They were sent by Scourge they say."

Tigerstar peered at me, "Hm... ok. Come on into my den, and speak what Scourge asks you to say." He spat the name Scourge out. Ruby shrugged and gestured at me to follow her. With no choice, I did.

Tigerstar turned at me and glared, "So what does Scourge have to say?"

Ruby immediately said, " He wants to test the quality of the forest since he's going to rule it. He um... sent us to test the quality and um... he asked you to train us, or else he's backing out of the deal." I admired Ruby's quick thinking. I mean, who would've thought of that?!

Tigerstar spat, "He's going to rule it? We're both going to rule it. Now come on, you want to see if the forest is good enough for you? You want to become a proper warrior? Then come with me."

Tigerstar led us to a small dirt clearing. "Here, Scarclaw, come train this tom. Moonriver? Come train this she-cat." Then Tigerstar left. Scarclaw gazed at me with an expression of awe. "Wow, you must be on TIgerstar's good side. Now here, come, we're going to teach you how to battle and defend yourself." I didn't want to learn how to fight! Ok, maybe I did, but not as much as I wanted to learn how to hunt.

"Wait, we want to learn to hunt first. We already know how to battle," I growled in what I hoped to be a scary growl. Moonriver said, "Yes, of course." Scarclaw led us to a scap of forest and a river. "Moonriver, you will teach the she-cat how to fish. I will teach..." "Socks," I supplied. "Yes, Socks how to hunt in the forest. Then we will switch. Is that good for you?" Scarclaw asked. "This cat is scared of us," I thought. "Yes it is," I said.

"Here, do you smell that mouse?" Scarclaw asked.

I took a deep sniff, smelling unfamiliar smells. "Yes,"

"Ok, now, crouch, that's right, put your tail lower, careful with the paws, rump down, yes, now pounce!" The last sound startled the mouse. I landed on the brown furry rodent and quickly sliced at it's throat. "Good job, now let me show you the other hunter crouches."

I learned how to catch squirrels, rabbits, and birds. After the mouse, Scarclaw led me to the river where Ruby was beeming with pride. At her paws were a pile of large fish. The sight made my mouth water. Scarclaw gestured, "Ah... Ruby, come with me. Moonriver? Would you mind showing Socks how to fish?" Moonriver nodded, then said, "Come on Socks, the water won't bite!"

I stared at the shining water, rushing below my paws. If I feel in, well then, I wouldn't be alive. Gripping the earth hard with my claws, I said, "How am I supposed to catch fish?"

Moonriver meowed with laughter, "Silly mouse-brain, I'll show you!" She flattened herself to the ground and watched the river. When a fish flashed by, her paw came down quickly like a hawk, scooping up the fish. As the fish flooped on a stone, she quickly killed it. "You don't want to let it live, it might get into the river." I flattened myself too, hoping to catch a fish. A gray one swam by. I dug my paw into the water and slapped the fish on the stone. I slashed at it's throat. "Good job!" meowed Moonriver. "Many cats aren't good at catching fish, but Ruby and you, well you guys are naturals!"

At sundown, we headed back to camp. Now, we knew how to fight, and hunt as well. We could leave this place and not risk being found out. However, when we got back to camp, Tigerstar was waiting for us. His cold gaze chilled me to my core, and swallowing the bile creaping up my throat, I bowed and said, "Tigerstar, how are you?"

He grinned, sharp teeth flashing in the dying sunlight. "Why, that was a clever trick you played on me, pretending to be sent from Scourge." Gulping, I asked, "Um... what trick?"

Tigerstar brayed with laughter, "Oh, so you don't know? Scourge paid me a visit today! And he said the most intresting things about you two, oh yes. I know your his littermates, but you are weak kittypets." Tigerstar spat, "How dare you steal the secrets of being a warrior by tricking me! Scourge also requested that you be killed. Frankly, I would have done that anyway, being tricked by kittypets." Ruby squacked, "Now, we can explain this..."

"I"m sure you can." Then, in a flash Tigerstar landed on Ruby. I watched in horror as he raised his claws, then chuckled slowly. "Oh no, I can think of many better ways to die. Yes... yes... Blackfoot!" A black cat with a white paws walked in and bowed low to the ground. "Yes, Tigerstar?" "Bring in Scarclaw and Moonriver." (Oh no, what's he going to do?!)
