Still grumbling at Davis’s rudeness, I followed him out of the room, but only to look back once to wonder about those sapphires in Ryuu’s room.

“Where did Ryuu get so many sapphires in his room from?” I questioned Davis.

“He is a dragon after all,” Davis barely rose his voice, “He likes to collect the blue rocks.”

“Wow.” I said simply.

We walked once again through the nasty hallway to the stairs, confusion swept through me, Davis was walking in front of me and suddenly he vanished. I stiffened, the walls between the stairs seemed gotten more darker, and I didn’t like the feeling of cold crept up in my spine. I tugged my shirt from the behind -trying to rub my skin to get rid of itchiness on my back - finally, I decided to steady myself while I stepped down a stair then another stair cautiously. The stairs wouldn’t just stop, my legs were getting tired, I started to jog a bit more quickly down the stairs. Why did it have to be me? How can I find the answers I need to know? My foot stepped down on another stair as I began wander lost in my thoughts.

The endless stairs finally came to an end, I gave up as my hand reached behind my shirt and my long nails scratched on my skin. Why is my back so itchy? I frowned as I dug my nails deeper in my skin. Someone laughed, I glanced up surrounded in a giant old fashioned living room, there were red velvet couches set by a roaring fireplace. The deep gold carpet brushed across the floor, red wine spilled down on the walls, there was a small coffee table with a green lamp set on it and underneath it had a glass bowl of M&Ms.

“Boo!” A man voice jumped behind me, his arms around my waist picking me up, and spun me around. I was stunned for a bit but I didn’t want to be kidnapped so I screamed while I kicked and trashed wildly in his arms.

“Whoa whoa! It’s only me!” His voice rang my ears.

I panted as I pushed Davis away from me, “Did you really have to do that?! Seriously?!” My throat burned after I yelled at him.

Davis only shrugged, “Sorry, just thought you might need a cheer-up.” His hands awkwardly shoved in his back pockets, the fire made his grey eyes flicker as his long black hair fell in his eyes.

Dazed by his looks for a minute till I snapped out of it, “How did you get down the stairs so fast?”

“Oh kid, you have so much to learn.” He chuckled. It was weird, his mood suddenly changed when we came down from the stairs, like his flip switch was turned on. Davis picked my hand up and wrapped his fingers around mine; pulling me to a tall red wood door with a glowing knob.

“I want you to meet somebody,” he grinned as he pushed me through the door. Growling at Davis I tried my best to not stumble down on the floor as I caught my balance, I glared at Davis as he snickered.

The room was small and crowded with jars filled with dead rats, spiders, eyeballs, and so many more I didn’t recognize. The walls were decorated with thousand kinds of frames but no pictures in them. Cats ran across my path, carefully trying to not step over them, I clung a little closer to Davis. It was a creepy room. Davis smirked down at me, his eyes trailed down to my hands on his arm, I quickly pulled back and tripped over tree roots that was growing inside the room. When I landed on the floor, I made a sound something like Ommfhh, my face smacked into the hard title floor.

I felt a warmth spreading on my face. I struggled to open my eyes, thinking I saw a woman leaning over me, in my face. I squinted when bright light flashed my eyes then I thought I had heard the woman spoke,

“She’s fine. In fact, she’s perfect, I’m guessing she had healed quickly before I…”

Davis’s angry voice interrupted the woman, “How is this possible!” He roared, “This cannot happen now, Not yet!”

My visions came back to normal, I let out a rush of relieve as I slowly pushing myself up on my arms. A beautiful woman with her atomic red wavy hair that relaxed by her lower back, her sharp purple eyes, a rich sliver material tightened around her curvy body, smiled at me. Her teeth was very white, red lipstick stained her lips, her olive skin looked flawless.

“Hello, my name is Alyssa! Are you okay?” The woman was looking at me.

Davis rushed to my side to help me getting up but I gave him an ugly face, showing him I didn’t want his help. He looked insulted but I didn’t care. I brushed the dust off my battered white t-shirt and my black shorts barely hanging on my hips. Did I just got smaller?

Mumbling that I was fine, I tried my best to not think about my body as like I was shrinking. “So, why are we here?” I said aloudly.

“We are here plan a journey to your birthplace.” Davis blurted out before I could shut him up. “Alyssa can help us too.”

I rubbed my back once more, causing my skin to peel, and bled.
