I threw my covers off and sprinted to the bathroom. I leaned over the toilet and hacked up my insides. Gross. I know. I trudged back to my room and glanced at the clock. 2am. This had been happening the last couple of nights and than in the morning I would have a bad headache. I really needed to get to the doctors. But for now I shall sleep.

I ran down the crowded streets shoving past people and slinging my bag on my shoulder. I muttered excuse me's and sorry's as I made my way up the steps into the library. I checked my phone for the time and I was right on time for my new job.
I walked up to the main desk and found someone new sitting at the desk. He was around my age and had a hipster look to him. He looked up from the computer and frowned.
"Excuse me Mrs, we're closed we open in an hour." He told me standing up.
"Oh, um I actually just got the job that was up for grabs. It's my first day." I explained. He smiled.
"Oh, my bad. Well I'm Patrick, you're name is Kolby right?" I nodded, "ok so first thing I need help with is organizing the fiction section. Do you need help or do you already know?" He asked grabbing some papers.
"I can handle it, I worked at a library back home in Portsmouth." He pointed to a staircase and told me where the section was, so I headed off to my first assignment.

I may have gotten a little distracted by the books.... Fiction is my favorite genre to be fair.
I sat on the floor leaning against the book shelf with a book open on my lap. Doesn't get better than this. Someone cleared their throat and I jumped. I looked up to see Patrick. I blushed knowing I was in trouble. He smiled and sat down next to me.
"It's good that the people working here enjoy reading." I sighed and smiled.
"Oh thank god, I thought I was in trouble." His face straightened.
"Oh you're still in trouble." He must have seen my face of pure fear because he started laughing.
"I was kidding, don't worry. We don't even open for twenty more minutes." I slapped his arm playfully.
"Don't mess with me like that! You just gave me a heart attack." He laughed and stood up.
"Do you want me to help you with this?" I looked at the section of shelves that went from the floor to the ceiling. I looked at him and nodded. He laughed and went to get the giant ladder from the closet. This should be fun.

4 Hours Later
I pushed the cart with the books that were returned around, placing them in their proper spots. I walked down the isle near the back putting the books on the shelf when someone tapped my shoulder. I jumped and knocked a couple of books down.
I quickly knelt onto the floor to pick them up when I looked up to see none other than Phil. I smiled happy to see him again.
He knelt down with me helping me pick up the books.
"I hope you don't mind, I just wanted to stop by and say hello. I remember you're pamphlet from yesterday, I'm not a stalker." I laughed and an old lady near by shushed me. I rolled my eyes and set the books on the cart.
"It's fine, I was actually hoping to see you again. I forgot to ask for your number." I told him. He followed me as I put the books on shelves.
"Sure, I'll put it into you're phone." I handed him my phone and he typed it in. He than took a selfie and set the picture. I laughed and he handed it back.
"You have a cute laugh." I blushed and slid my phone in my back pocket.
"Thanks." I hid my face hoping he wouldn't see my blush. He laughed and I blushed even more.
"Well I should get going. Dan, my flat mate is waiting for me,"
"Does he ever leave the house?" I joked.
"No." Phil said with full seriousness. He pulled me in for a quick hug.
"Woah, uh hey there Phil." I laughed as I wrapped my hands around his stomach. Now it's his turn to blush.
"Well bye Kolby, don't forget to text me." I nodded and waved goodbye as he made his way out the door. He's a pretty good hugger I have to admit.

"Hey Patrick, do you think I could get off a tad early? I have a doctors appointment soon." I asked leaning on the desk.
"Yeah of course. I hope you feel better." I smiled and grabbed my bag. I hurried out the door and back into the cold streets. I called for a cab and hopped in. I told the driver the address and we were on our way.
I'm really hoping that it's nothing to serious, but than again who doesn't? About fifteen minutes later I was walking into the doctors office. I always get nervous here, I'm not sure if it's the smell or the amount of sick people but I hate it here. I checked in and say in the waiting room. There was no one else there and it was dead silent. This didn't help with my nerves.
"Kolby?" The nurse asked popping her head through the door. I nodded and stood up. She led me down a hall with absolutely no color in it. She opened a door to one of the rooms and motioned me in. I sat on the bench and waited for the doctor.
