Chapter 3- Pass Or Fail

Amaya wakes up and heads straight to the training grounds where her squad was supposed to be meeting. When she gets there she finds that Yuki and Suki haven't made it there yet. Amaya sees Nata sensei and Kakashi talking.

"She can handle herself Kakashi. Just give her a chance, you'll see." Nata sensei says. Amaya hides so that she's not seen as she listens to their conversation.

"I just don't want to see her get hurt." Kakashi says worried about Amaya.

"Telling her that she can't will only make her push herself even harder."

"But-" Kakashi is cut off by Amaya who was running towards him and Nata sensei.

"This is exactly why I didn't want to be on your squad dad!" Amaya says looking up at Kakashi.

"But Amaya, what if you push it too far on a mission and your back-"

"Dad! Stop! I'm not a little girl anymore! I can handle it." Amaya says trying to reassure her father.

"And if something does happen? What then?" Kakashi asks looking down at Amaya.

"I'll be right there to make sure that something like that doesn't happen." Nata sensei says looking at Kakashi. At that moment Yuki and Suki walk up.

"Make sure what doesn't happen?" Suki says.

"Nothing!" Amaya says quickly turning around.

"Why the hell is he here?" Yuki says pointing at Kakashi.

" Oh, him? He was just leaving!" Amaya says pushing Kakashi away from the group.

Once they were far enough away and Amaya was sure that the group couldn't hear her she says "Dad please. They don't know about anything that has happened and I plan to keep it that way. They look at me as just a normal ninja. This is my chance to show everybody what a good ninja I can be. The rest of my squad comes from other villages so they don't know anything about me, which means that they can get to know me as Amaya and not 'Kakashi's kid' Please dad, just give me a chance to be somewhat normal."

"I just don't want to see you get hurt Amaya." Kakashi says trying to convince Amaya.

"Amaya!" Nata sensei shouts. "Come on, we're starting!"

"Sorry dad, I've gotta go now." Amaya says before she turns around and runs back to her squad.

"Ok. Your objective is to get one of these bracelets." Nata sensei says holding up two bracelets.

"Is this like the bell test that Naruto was telling me about?" Amaya asks.

"Well, sort of. Same principles but it's unique in it's own way. Instead of bells we will be using these bracelets and it won't be me you're going after to get them. Well, not right away that is." Nata sensei replies.

"What do you mean? Aren't we supposed to be trying to get the bracelets from you?" Amaya asks looking confused.

"Yes. But, the bracelets will be hidden in different locations." Nata sensei explains.

"So, all we have to do is get one of these stupid bracelets?" Yuki asks looking bored.

"Not exactly. Once you come within 25 meters of the bracelets you are free game for me to attack you. Come at me with the intent to kill or you will fail. Anyone that has not managed to get their hands on a bracelet by noon goes without lunch." Nata sensei says.

"So?" Yuki says being cocky.

"Let me finish." Nata sensei says sounding very annoyed. "Not only will you go without lunch, but you will also be sent back to the academy."
